The Daily Something

So I just noticed this channel called Laf that has The Drew Carey Show on… pretty much all day… and I think all night they play Roseanne. I’m not sure if I even get this channel… I’m watching it at someone else’s house… but it had on The Drew Carey Show… and I was kind of excited. I don’t remember The Drew Carey show very well… I don’t think it’s available on DVD, it definitely isn’t on Netflix… maybe it’s on the ABC app… but it’s a bad show that’s pretty good in general… and I watched it as a kid- so I’m excited to watch it again.   This show is very much a product of it’s time… the jokes are kind of sexist- kind of non-pc… but at the same time kind of almost PC… the episode I have on now is about Drew standing up for his cross-dressing brother at the bar and now there are cross-dressers all in the bar…. it’s sort of a one step forward 2 steps back type of thing… I think maybe it’s 2 steps forward and one step back… but I’m not 100% sure. So this is probably the most random show I've ever reviewed on this blog... its an older HBO show called Big Love. It started in 2006 and ended in 2011... and no one ever really talked about it much. It was under some controversy for an episode that showed a very private Morman ceremony... idk. Haven't gotten that far and don't remember much about that... but it made me curious to watch although that seems wrong to show a private ceremony... but it seems interesting to see. Lol idk. So what Big Love is about is polygamy. A regular guy owns a hardware store and happens to have 3 wives. I've only seen the first 2 episodes so far... but a lot has happened already! So before the Superbowl, TBS had a marathon of some of the friends episodes, more specifically the Ross and Rachel themed ones. So I didn't totally watch every episode that carefully... but trust me I know pretty much every line of every episode of Friends... so I didn't really feel like I had to. And this seemed like a good thing to post around Valentines Day. The One With The Prom Video  Great episode to start with. I think when they did their countdown of favorite friends episodes, this was #1. This was the first episode where Ross and Rachel get together. Monica and Ross's parents visit and give them an old video of Monica and Rachel going to the prom.
