Top 10 Favorite Albums Of All Time (Kind of... but not that serious.)

Sooo I was tagged in a Facebook Challenge to do my Top 10 Favorite Albums of All Time... and I thought I'd post that here too! By the time I'm posting this I'm done with the challenge... but at the time of starting this... I'm not. And I have no idea what I'm picking for the end of the challenge... so that should be fun. Actually I'm going to post this earlier because I'm a little lazy and I didn't have anything written for the day! 1) Hamilton (Original Broadway Cast)  I want to say this one is just my favorite of all time... but I also know I can't completely say that. This is probably the one I could listen to every single day for the rest of my life and still get emotional for... It gives me goosebumps, it makes me cry and it's an amazing story... an amazing way to tell the story... and if you're lucky enough to see it live... it's just all around amazing. My mom and I watched Jesus Christ Superstar this weekend... and my mom ...

The Weekly POP!

So...I kind of keep thinking of Weekly series to do... and I don't fully have this planned out yet- but I think on Saturdays I will have any and all pop culture news... and maybe I'll include some things that aren't actually news but things about Pop Culture I found out this week? Honestly... I have no idea what I'm going to do with this blog... I just came up with the idea less than a minute before I started writing this very post... so let's see what's up! News  All of Will and Grace is available right now on Hulu... it is virtually impossible to get this on DVD- they never made a blu-ray... so this is kind of the only means to watch it- unless you're like me and you watch it on lifetime every weekend and tivo it and watch it before bed most days... I already want Hulu to begin with... I don't have it currently... but this has me pretty excited! The revival debuts on Thursday! This weekend could be one of the most successful in Box Office history...

Throwback Thursday: Lady Gaga Artpop Review

So this I was actually pleasantly surprised to listen to again. Artpop was my least favorite Lady Gaga cd… and honestly… idk if I can say that anymore. I liked it way more than I thought I would. I think I’ve only listened to it all the way through once before this… and I understand why… but at the same time- I’d like listening to these with all the other Gaga songs on Shuffle or something.   There’s only one song on this that I really don’t like. Jewels and Drugs is just not my thing… I didn’t really like the rap in it… I didn’t feel like there was enough Gaga on it. I also am not a fan of R.Kelly as a person… he’s a very talented singer and entertainer… I actually watched all of Trapped in The Closet… but I know he’s had some pretty bad scandals in the past… and I just can’t really support him as a person. I heard him at a club recently and I was like “I feel funny dancing to this because I don’t like R Kelly…” I’m not a club person.   Anyway other than that I reall...

August It List 2017

1) Lady Gaga- Obviously… if you’ve been paying attention to this blog at all this month… my favorite has been Lady Gaga! I just did my little Lady Gaga Extravaganza review of things… I listened to all of her cds and did Throwback Thursdays on them! I’ve just really been loving all of her music… I love the Lady Gaga Sweatshirt that I got at the concert… I just really had a lot of fun and I LOVE her music. Joanne has obviously been my favorite of the month… last night I listened to Artpop and that used to be my least favorite… but now I love it! She’s just so talented and I’m excited that she’s already working on new stuff!   2) Jack’s Mannequin- I haven’t been listening to Jack’s Mannequin as much… but I did listen to Everything in Transit a few times. My favorite song on that is Miss Delaney… that is another one of my favorite cds of all time… I just really like it. I don’t even know why- it’s just my favorite. I need to do a Throwback Thursday on this… sometime after American...

The Lady Gaga Concert Experience!

Soooo... just got back from my Gaga concert Extravaganza weekend and I have a lot of thoughts and feelings... I also have a massive headache... which is slowly going away... but I just want to write. I'll probably post other things from the trip and something about Taylor Swift's new video because I'm a little shook from it... and I don't really like the song... but I've listened to most of Taylor's other albums in full at least once... so I feel like I'm a bit of a fan. Anyway back to Lady Gaga... She didn't have an opening act- she started about a half hour late- these were the first things my dad and sister asked me... so the tickets were for 9:30 and she went on at 10. There was a DJ before her. We went to Citi Field... and they had Cookie Dough and tons of food that all smelled really good. They actually have a Shake Shack in the stadium there- we ate before... there's a lot that you can do at Citi Field... I may have had a cookie dough scoop....

Throwback Thursday: The Fame Monster

So... one album of Gaga's that I use to really love... but now I have to say I'm slightly disappointed in is The Fame Monster. I'm not disappointed in it... I just think I liked it less than I realized. Two of the songs on this are very skippable... and I still like them more than a lot of songs by different singers... I can still listen  to them and like it. Those songs are "So Happy I could Die" and "Dance in The Dark." They aren't bad songs... but they're ones I just don't prefer listening to. Not sure why really... just not my things. So with those 2 being "skippable" there is also another song that I really liked at the time... but now I'm like "meh..." and that is Monster. I feel like if I'm ever super angry about a guy or something- I'll listen to this... but now I'm not particularly angry at anyone and I'm just like.... "ehhh... it's okay." The only reason I think I'm so ...

What's Up With Taylor Swift's New Video?????

I have a lot of feelings about this video... it's a pretty deep video- but this isn't the first time a music video has gone this deep... but it kind of surprised me from Taylor Swift. I have to say... I can never tell if I'm a fan of Taylor Swift or not. I like her music for the most part. I've listened to Speak Now, Red and 1989 in full... I think my favorite is Red... then Speak Now and then 1989. I want to listen to Red again because... I feel like I have newfound respect for it from this video.... and I'll get to that in a little bit... but I think Taylor was really proud of that album and she seemed to just really be happy with it. My initial reaction to hearing the song on the radio was that it sounded like "The Lego Movie's version of a Taylor Swift song." It just kind of sounded like a parody... which I guess it kind of is? Taylor Swift is good at parodying herself... but she doesn't like when other people try to get in on the joke. B...

Throwback Thursday: Lady Gaga The Fame

So I already did my review of Born This Way... now I'm backtracking a little and doing her first CD The Fame. I think I'll do The Fame Monster next week... I listened to that also... but I still haven't listened to every song on that CD because I don't really like every song on that CD. I was kind of expecting not to like this one as much as Born This Way... but to be honest... there are songs on Born This Way that I'm just a little "meh" about... sometimes I like them- sometimes I don't... I usually don't skip them... but I wouldn't seek them out ever. On The Fame I genuinely like every single song and would probably seek them out. I think "Eh, There's Nothing Else I Can Say" is the only one I'd categorize as "a bad song"... it isn't bad... but it kind of just sounds like "Mall Pop." I could imagine hearing it in a changing room and then not buying the pair of pants. I really like the song Brown Ey...

Throwback Thursday: Lady Gaga's Born This Way

Sooo I'm really excited because at the end of August I'm seeing Lady Gaga in concert... so I'm like "Ohhh I need to listen to Gaga like all month!" So that I can appreciate the concert more... I've been wanting to see Gaga forever and Born This Way is my favorite... I've listened to it about a million times... but I haven't heard it recently so... I needed to listen to it again and see if it stacked up. And it pretty much did. The weird thing though... I always kind of think of this as a perfect album... but there are so many songs I don't totally "LOVEEEEEEEE" on this. I like Bloody Mary a lot... don't love it. Electric Chapel might be my favorite of the "eh" songs... Highway Unicorn is kind of up there... I could do without the Jesus is the New Black" song... Bad Kids I think I liked when I just listened to it... but I didn't really remember it and even now I'm like "hmm... idk about this." I didn...

Weekly Wrap Up 5.14.17

Favorites  Girlboss- What a great show on Neflix right? It was just well done… well paced… sort of a show about nothing but the plot of it was also really good… I was kind of surprised… I didn’t love it at first but then I got really into it. It’s pretty good! I would recommend it!  Stop and Shop Guacamole- OMG! This Guacamole is awesome!!! It just tastes sooo sooo good! My mom tasted it in store and no one else was eating it… but she got it and thought it was delicious. It’s a little spicy but it just tastes really flavorful and good. Must have for any party this summer… except idk if my family likes Guac all that much.  Frappuccinos- Frappy Hour was this week… and I enjoyed every bit of it! Didn’t get to Starbucks in time every day it went on… but man! When I did it was amazing! The S’mores frap is my favorite and the Midnight Mint Mocha is my favorite after that I think. Great stuff!  Easy (netflix)- Kind of a weird hidden gem of Netflix. It’s a...

Weekly Wrap Up! 2.19.17

Favorites  Joanne by Lady Gaga- I've been listening to this CD a lot this week and it's just really good... I'm really excited to see Lady Gaga in August... I love that this is kind of different than what she usually does... but she just does it so well. It is weird to listen to a full CD and where Alexander Hamilton doesn't die at the end... but it's still really good.  Jane The Virgin- I finished watching the First Season of the show... and I have a recap that I'll post on a Throwback Thursday sometime next month... but what a great show! I just really like it. I'm on the Second Season now... so yeah. I'm still all caught up with the current season... but re-watching is so fun.  Dr. Teals Relax and Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint Foaming Bath Soak- This smells amazing and it's a stress relief type of thing and it just smells nice and de-stresses and I just really like it. It's a relaxing and refreshing bubble bath!  A Dog's P...

Grammy Gossip! - A Recap of the Memorable Moments of Grammy's 2017!

This is kind of like Superbowl Smackdown... but obviously for the Grammy's. I think I did this last year too! I like award show recaps... and there was a lot for this year... so Let's go on! James Corden was really funny. He wasn't on the show that much though, but he did a really fun opening rap song that went over the music related things that happened this year... the nominees and such. I really liked that. James Corden is a pretty good rapper. Then the awards started... Chance The Rapper won the first of the night for Best New Artist... I was rooting for him, I like him a lot on the Hamilton Mixtape and I just downloaded his cd. He released it only on streaming services... which is interesting. I only listen to Apple Music right now... so that works perfectly for me! The performances were all really good too... aside from a few technical difficulties. Adele had a technical difficulty during her tribute to George Michael... and I don't think that tribute did hi...

Scribbles About Music: Joanne by Lady Gaga

After Lady Gaga's last cd... I was a little bit underwhelmed. I was hoping this one would be a lot better or at least a little bit better... lol. And I was really impressed with this! It was a little different for Gaga. It still had the sexy-edginess that Gaga is known for... but its more of a chill cd that you can have in the background while doing just about anything... its good blogging music basically. I like having it on in the background when I write for blogs and that's kind of how I've been listening too it. It works and I like it a lot! So I think my favorite song is the one with Florence from Florence and the Machines in it... I wasn't really expecting their voices to work so well together. Florence has a very distinct and unique voice and style. Gaga went a little in that direction with this album. I also kinda like when she does songs that are almost a country songs. John Wayne is a good example of that, Grigio girls... I think what I loved about Born Th...

Grammy Gossip 2016

So... I have Superbowl Scoop and I like having these alliterative. I'm not a huge fan of music, but I'm excited for Lady Gaga's tribute to David Bowie, so I'm going to watch mostly for that. And I didn't even know Hamilton was performing! That was really really good too... we'll talk about that. Lol. So lets talk about the reason why I wanted to watch: The performances! And they were all so good! I've never listened to Kenderick Lamar... but he was Amazing! The performance was really really cool and he was amazing! I've seen a lot of people saying he should win for Album of the Year and I can totally see that. I haven't listened to it yet, but as someone who doesn't listen to much rap or hip hop... I can totally see that. From what he performed... I downloaded it right after lol! On Apple Music, so I don't have to commit... but it was really good. Alright so speaking of rap... You all know how much I love Hamilton. I've mentioned it m...

Superbowl Scoop! Superbowl 50

So I want to do this even though I don't think I have much to say about the game... I don't understand football too much and I usually watch the Commercials and the halftime show and stuff... but this year nothing was too great... but the game was a little exciting to begin with. So why was this game particularly exciting? Peyton Manning is old. He's not OLD, he's 39... which is pretty old for a Quarterback and he is in fact the oldest QB to win or be in a Super Bowl. He is up against The Panthers, who have never won a Super Bowl and their QB is Cam Newton who is pretty much a superhuman. He's what you think of when you think of a football player. One of my favorite cooking channels on youtube (Food Wishes) said that Peyton Manning looks like your dad and Cam Newton looks like a superhero... so it seemed like a pretty obvious win for the Panthers... ... but that didn't happen! The Broncos got the first touchdown or whatever and they were on a pretty good str...

Quarter Life Crisis Part One: Celebrity Envy

So I'm 24 right now... which means everything is scary. I'm old enough to do things like drink and be employed and you know... do things, but I'm still too young for people to really take me seriously. And its like I just finally got done with school and now I feel like death is creeping slowly... very slowly but still its still like Time and The Grim Reaper or whoever are having lunch and they're like "You're too old for that honey. Contribute to society." So here I am. Contributing. And I wasn't that freaked out, but I was listening to Lady Gaga and I was thinking of high school and stuff and I was like "wasn't I surprised by her age when I was in high school? Didn't I find out she's 24 and thought that was old? Aren't I 24 now?" I googled and then checked my birth certificate and it is in fact sadly true. I am in fact 24 and Lady Gaga was also 24 when Born This Way came out. And I was like... wow. I used to think she wa...

10 Random Thoughts: Scribbles About Life 11/19/15

So I really wanted to post the American Horror Story Rewatch yesterday... but that didn't happen and I didn't re-watch the Murder House episodes yet... so That will probably be tomorrow. I'm going to start doing those every other week. Right now I just kind of wanted a bit of a break... so I'll just tell you some things on my mind right now! 1) The TGIT Winter Finale's are tonight. I'm really excited! I'm especially excited for How To Get Away With Murder. That's my favorite... and I know Scandal is a better show than Grey's... but I always have fun watching Grey's. It isn't super serious, I can kind of half pay attention to it. 2) I'm doing something special on my beauty blog for december and I'm calling it the 12 days of Blogmas. I'm going to do a holiday look every other day in the month of December. And maybe I'll do something like that here too. 3) Don't protest Starbucks because of their holiday cups. My starbu...
