Grammy Gossip 2016

So... I have Superbowl Scoop and I like having these alliterative. I'm not a huge fan of music, but I'm excited for Lady Gaga's tribute to David Bowie, so I'm going to watch mostly for that. And I didn't even know Hamilton was performing! That was really really good too... we'll talk about that. Lol.

So lets talk about the reason why I wanted to watch: The performances! And they were all so good! I've never listened to Kenderick Lamar... but he was Amazing! The performance was really really cool and he was amazing! I've seen a lot of people saying he should win for Album of the Year and I can totally see that. I haven't listened to it yet, but as someone who doesn't listen to much rap or hip hop... I can totally see that. From what he performed... I downloaded it right after lol! On Apple Music, so I don't have to commit... but it was really good.

Alright so speaking of rap... You all know how much I love Hamilton. I've mentioned it many times... but I was SO EXCITED to see the performance. This is the closest I'll probably get to actually seeing Hamilton in a while. Plus I feel like Hamilton is a really important musical for right now. I learned a lot about politics from listening to this and it really applies to things that are important now. And they knew it was going to win, cause they were performing the show while The Grammy's was on... and Stephen Colbert had the grammy right there! That was cool. His speech was amazing too! I would have liked Something Rotten to win though cause I loved that... but I love Hamilton too, and I'm sure if and when I see it I will love it. Lol.

Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt I think his name is... both great. I feel like one reason I could never be a singer would be because I couldn't make that much eye contact with someone... lol.  They were great. I'm starting to like Carrie Underwood a lot!

Ed Sheerin won! And Stevie Wonder, who is friends with Sheerin announced it. I'm in love with Ed Sheerin and I really like Stevie, so I was pretty excited about that! And I loved Stevie's performance and his message about equality for handicapped people. Probably went somewhat unnoticed... but it was awesome.

All the performances and tributes were really good... but the reason I watched was for the Lady Gaga tribute to David Bowie... and I thought she did a great job. I'm not going to say anything bad about Lady Gaga of corse, I love her... she is my 2nd favorite singer ever and my first favorite singer is Bowie himself... and the performance and tribute were great and she did a fantastic job... I kind of wished she had sang at least one of the songs a little longer... although I think having all the favorite songs fast paced is very bowie like because his songs are fast and fun and serious... and I thought that was a good way of honoring him... another critique I have of it... I wish it weren't an Intel commercial. I think that was a little wrong and I hope they give Iman or his children money for that.

And I loved Lady Gaga's hair, makeup and outfits for the night. I thought she looked really cool. I said I wanted to wear her outfit to the Dentist when I went... lol. I didn't of corse... but I wanted to. David Bowie's son didn't like the tribute and Entertainment Weekly believed it was because she was wearing a risqué outfit... I love Entertainment Weekly... but I don't think thats why he didn't like it. I don't think Gaga's dress was inappropriate, I thought it looked like Gaga's take on Bowie.... and I think its more maddening that the performance was an Intel commercial than anything else... Aside from that it was very well done and very cool... but come on. Don't use David Bowie for a commercial.

And Alabama Shakes were good... everything was pretty good. Lol. I also downloaded Tori Kelly's CD on Apple Music after cause she was great.

I think that is everything worth mentioning... Other than how Hot Johnny Depp looked! Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
