On My Reading List: Books/Magazines I'm going to try to finish very soon.

So I was sort of redoing my room and re-organizing my desk... and I just had a big pile of stuff that I wanted to keep out so that I could read it soon. I love reading and its been a while... so here's my current reading list.

Alright not really in with this stuff... but something I need to finish is Yes, Please by Amy Poehler. I started this... probably well over a year ago. Lol. It kind of breaks my heart to finish it because I feel like Amy's my friend and I've learned a lot about her and about life and about myself from this book and I don't want it to end... so I still have a few chapters left. I don't think this will be the next thing I'm going to finish... but I'll finish it in the near future because why not.

I'm going to start out with books. The first book I have on here is Amazing Amy Tattle Tail. This is based on Gone Girl's Amy... and I've read it before... but I want to watch the movie gone girl again soon and re-read this and read the next book I have on here... before or after that. Its a kids book really... but if your a grown up that knows Gone Girl... its a little creepy.

Then I have The Grownup also by the author of Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn. This is a short book, it was originally in an anthology book that George RR Martin put together about ghost stories. I think thats pretty cool. George RR Martin just asked Flynn to write a ghost story and I'm sure she delivered in a big way. The cover of this is pretty cool and creepy too... so I want to read this ASAP! I've wanted to read it for a long time... but I didn't know where the book was. But I found it today and I'm going to read it soon!

Next I have one I need to read. What Color is Your Parachute, its a job hunting book and its the best selling Job Hunting Book. I need a job... so yeah. This needs to be read. Lol.

Next I'm really really excited for Welcome To Nightvale. I love the podcast... I haven't listened to it in a while... but I think its awesome and I'm really happy that there is a book to go with it. I haven't started any of these yet... but I feel like if you like comedy, paranormal stuff and specifically the type of humor in Parks and Recreation, you'll like it. Listen to the podcast first then maybe read my review of the book and buy it. Lol.

Then I have Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari! I love Aziz and thought this would be fun to read in February for Valentines Day!

Then the last 3 are magazines. This is kind of random... but I'm subscribed to Better Homes and Gardens, Instyle and Entertainment Weekly because I ordered something online and it came with a free subscription for a certain period of time... you can opt out but I always forget to check. Anyway I like the magazines... so its okay with me.

I have one Better Homes and Gardens here, this has Jessica Alba on the cover. These I like because its about more than Homes and Gardens. It has style tips, celebrity interviews... you can see celebrities decor and its just pretty awesome. I like that a lot.

Then I have the Rolling Stone David Bowie Issue with him looking very handsome on the cover. David Bowie is my all time favorite singer and I really admire him and needed this magazine... so that is that.

And a random Entertainment Weekly. I like collecting magazines... but if the cover comes off or something I'll just throw them out. I'm big into pictures and lists instead of just reading  it... but I want to get more into reading it. This had American Crime Story on the cover... which I'm excited about! I think I posted my review on it yesterday... but if not it'll be up tomorrow cause I'm planning to write a review on it... but at this time that's the future and I'll already have this written... so yeah. Lol. But look for it or come back for it. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
