Scribbles About Music: Shuffle Itunes and Review the first 7 songs

So here's a new idea that I'm doing now... I'm going to listen to the first 5 songs that shuffle on my apple music and let you know how they are... Alright!

1) Best of Wives and Best of Women from Hamilton Soundtrack- This is such a short song that I'll do the first 6 songs... I like this song a lot because it shows that Alexander and his wife are back together on good terms and it says a lot about their relationships and the situation Alexander is in with Burr in a quick 30 second song. The Line "Best of Wives and Best of Women" was in Alexander's letter to Eliza that he wrote before the duel to I think... it was definitely found in one of the letters he wrote to her... and I think its important that they included it in the play.

2) What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber- This is the reason for my Apple Music... I was too embarrassed to actually commit to this Bieber album... but I wanted it on my phone. I didn't actually like this one at first, but I grew to kind of love it. I like this Bieber Renaissance... and this song is the start of it... so its okay. Not my favorite... but I'll sing along and dance to it. And actually keep it on when its on the radio.

I still don't know why she's running out of time... is she dying?

3) Going Commando from The Deadpool Soundtrack- ... Maybe I should do 7 songs now because this isn't an actual song song... lol. I loved the music in Deadpool, and specifically I loved the Deadpool Rap... but I like listening to music with no lyrics because it makes me feel important and its good to listen to while writing and stuff... so if I were going to write something action-related, I'd listen to the deadpool soundtrack. If I wanted to write a horror story... maybe American Horror story... and that makes sense right? Lol. This isn't the best song on the soundtrack probably... but it is very action-y and if you listen to it at the gym... you'll feel cool. I like it.

4) Flowers in Your Hair by The Lumineers- I loved the Lumineers a while ago and I just re-downloaded the album because I love it so much. This song is the first song on the album I think and it is amazing. Again a short song... but longer than 30 Seconds... so I'm not adding another song. Lol. This is such a cute song... it makes me happy listening to it. I just like it. This it the kind of stuff you listen to when your in love and it just makes everything better.

5) The Black Death from Something Rotten- This is funny... another short song... I feel like this didn't shuffle that well... this is one of the funniest songs just listening to it with no context. In the play it was so funny too... I loved Something Rotten, totally my favorite musical I'd say... Its great.

6) Hood Politics by Kenderick Lamar- I couldn't really hear all the words he was saying and I got a little distracted by an article on celebrities that are my height and shorter... but this was a good song. I liked the sound of it and everything... lyrics are explicit... but Kenderick Lamar is pretty amazing.

7) Blackstar by David Bowie- This is a music video too... so I'm going to watch that. I like the song. Very different... even in his last days, he was making music that was different and groundbreaking and this video was absolutely beautiful... as is the song. I'm not 100% sure what it all means, what story its telling or anything... but the opening of the song kind of sounds like an old Bowie song that is skipping and its just a very dark song and a dark video... and a lot of it just sounds like noise but when you hear Bowie sing... its magical. He's amazing. My absolute favorite singer of all time... and the man can do no wrong.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
