Throwback Thursday: Tenchi Muyo

So this was kinda cool. When I was in 3rd or 4th grade there was this really cool show on Cartoon Network called Tenchi Muyo. And it was animae, but it wasn't overly violent or anything... it was just a cool action-packed tv show that was sort of like a cartoon soap opera... but also sort of with superhero type of stuff.

I didn't remember much about it other than it was a cute guy that lived in a house with a bunch of women that all liked him. Thats me describing it as a kid... lol. And there were characters with blue hair and a scientist with pink hair and it was really funny and really cool. But they just aired the same episodes over and over again and never really continued with the show. So that was upsetting.

I just watched the first episode so far... so idk if that's really what its about or not... lol. But the first episode was very action-packed but also funny and cool.

What I sort of appreciate about it is the way the story is told. It kind of follows all the rules of tv writing... but its also very short and its a cartoon and it does it in a way that doesn't make it long, or boring... and there's a lot of suspense.

It is a children's show though... so I didn't really feel that hooked on it to watch the second episode right away. Its good... but its not breaking bad or anything... its a kids show. So... I want to finish the series... but its not really a priority... but I like it.

Was it as good as I remembered... not really... but not all the characters are there... so I feel like its hard to judge from this one episode. I liked it but its not something I'm totally rushing to finish... so yeah. It was good... but it wasn't this truly amazing thing I remembered. It wasn't a total fail either. When I saw Dinosaur... that was a big fail... but this was not a complete fail.

So... yeah. Slightly depressing Throwback Thursday... but I still am happy I re-discovered this show I liked a lot as a kid... and I think I'll watch some more... it seems cool.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
