Superbowl Scoop! Superbowl 50

So I want to do this even though I don't think I have much to say about the game... I don't understand football too much and I usually watch the Commercials and the halftime show and stuff... but this year nothing was too great... but the game was a little exciting to begin with.

So why was this game particularly exciting? Peyton Manning is old. He's not OLD, he's 39... which is pretty old for a Quarterback and he is in fact the oldest QB to win or be in a Super Bowl. He is up against The Panthers, who have never won a Super Bowl and their QB is Cam Newton who is pretty much a superhuman. He's what you think of when you think of a football player. One of my favorite cooking channels on youtube (Food Wishes) said that Peyton Manning looks like your dad and Cam Newton looks like a superhero... so it seemed like a pretty obvious win for the Panthers...

... but that didn't happen! The Broncos got the first touchdown or whatever and they were on a pretty good streak for the most part. It wasn't a super intense or interesting game... last year it was pretty exciting because the Seahawks were winning for so long and then the Patriots came out of no where and cheated won. So it wasn't particularly exciting. But still, the aspect of Old Guy vs Young Guy was pretty exciting.

So lets get to the commercials... none really made me laugh out loud this year. I didn't really see the Kevin Hart one... I've talked about how I really like Kevin Hart before, so of corse he was funny... idk if he's really old enough to have a daughter that age, so that was distracting. I missed the Seth Rogen and Amy Poehler commercial. I didn't really get the Jeff Goldbloom one with George Washington and Weezy... that was a little stupid. I thought the doritos one was stupid with the baby... idk. That one freaked me out. The Hot Dogs running to the ketchup was cute.

I liked the Helen Mirren one... I forgot about that. It was a PSA against drunk driving and it was really funny and true. And I liked the one with the David Bowie music and the astronaut. I thought that was sweet and just a good one.

The Superbowl Babies was one I didn't hear about. The babies are born in the hometown of the winning Super Bowl team... or maybe just the ones playing in the superbowl. They had Seahawks ones and they didn't win last year... but I think they won the year before or something. Idk. Lol. But that was something cute, especially now its Superbowl 50, so some of the Superbowl Babies are 50 now. So that was something cool and different.

The real important thing to me: Lady Gaga's National Anthem. And she did AMAZING in my opinion. In everyone's opinion I think. She looked absolutely gorgeous, she had Red glittery eyeshadow, a red glittery suit, blue nail polish, and one blue sparkly shoe and one red and white striped one. Amazing. She sang beautifully, she is my favorite and this is one people will remember. Like the Whitney Houston one and many others... this people will remember.

And the halftime show. I was also like "really? Coldplay?" But I feel like really it was Beyonce and it was disguised as Coldplay. I'm not a big fan of Coldplay... but Beyonce and Bruno Mars were really good. Coldplay was great too, I thought the show itself was well done with the lightings and the singings and all that stuff. They were good! My aunt was actually at the Superbowl and she likes them and said they were good... so I'm happy about that.

When Manning won, everyone was sort of acting like they were about to sell him to the glue factory. Lol. They didn't really just let him enjoy winning without asking if he was going to retire... and I thought that was kind of sad. I think it sounds like he's going to... but I'd also like to see if I could win one at 40. Its one of those things you can't decide easily and putting them right on the spot was just a little sad-sounding. He knew it was going to come and of corse they're going to ask him... but idk. I wouldn't have wanted that. Lol.

Colbert was funny after also! I thought that was really fun to have him and Corden on for the after-show. Its one of the more fun after-shows I thought... so I liked that a lot! I like Colbert and Corden and I need to watch them more, they're really funny.

So yeah... didn't think I had much to say... but apparently I did. And... that is it pretty much! Hope you guys like it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
