The Daily Something

So I don't know Prince songs all that well... but I am a fan and I thought I'd talk about some of his songs and why he has a big influence in my life. There aren't any Prince songs I know all the words to or anything... there are some songs that I didn't know he sang until today... which is what made me a fan of David Bowie, so that's cool. He's influenced a ton of musicians today though. For one: Ke$ha. She is also from Minnesota and she actually got her start by breaking into his house and dropping off her EP. Luckily, she's a talented singer, and Prince was a religious man (probably at the time) so it was probably easy for him to forgive her and give her a chance. That's important to me because really I do like Kesha's music. I'm happy that it looks like her career is back on track because I missed her music... and believe it or not I can do a SPOT ON Kesha impression. Also I LOVE Fall Out Boy. I don't know what it is, but lately I've been really REALLY loving female singers. When I was in high school I was more into bands like Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, and Panic At The Disco... And really the only two female singers I liked back then were Lady Gaga and Katy Perry... Who are still my favorites... But there are so many more that I like. Ohhh and Pink. I've been a big fan of Pink for a really long time. So while I love my favorite male bands and everything... There is something so empowering to me about listening to music from all female singers. If I buy one cd from a female artist, I will feel the need to get all of their CDs after that. My favorite female singers right now are Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lorde, Taylor Swift and I'm starting to really like Hayley Williams/Paramore. Ohh and I don't have their CDs, but Florence and the machine and Lana Del Rae are really quite good too. And I really want to get more into Beyoncé... Maybe even Rihanna. I...
