Blogmas Day 13: My Favorite Christmas Songs This Year

I usually like Christmas music in General... this year I'm working retail... so Christmas Music isn't really my first go-to as far as music goes... but I do still like it... and honestly my favorites are from the Christmas Soundtrack at work right now. I'll probably go and listen to the full albums... but these are still just good ones. 1) Everyone's A Kid At Christmastime by Stevie Wonder-  I like Stevie Wonder in general... and I like his Christmas Songs in general... but this one is really special and good. I like that he mentions even Scrooge can be a kid at Christmas Time... it's just a really clever song that I really really like. 2) Gwen Stefani's Christmas Songs-  This is shocking because usually I don't listen to Gwen Stefani because something terrible ALWAYS happens when I listen to Gwen Stefani... but I have to say her Christmas songs are actually great. She has such a great voice for them... and they're all just really sweet and kind of...

Blogmas Day 9: Things I thought as a kid- CHRISTMAS EDITION!

So I thought for today's post it might be kind of fun to talk about some things that I thought when I was a kid that I realize as an adult aren't exactly how I thought. Now I know what you're all thinking- am I talking about Santa? No- Santa is totally real and I know he's probably too busy to read this blog this time of year... and it's not that popular of a blog... plus I think The North Pole has Wifi- but I'm not 100% sure... but either way Merry Christmas Santa! Anyway... on to the thoughts! 1) The Song "Little St. Nick" was about a Small Santa  So I don't know if anyone remembers the "Now That's What I Call Christmas" Cd and the commercials for it... but they did show a cartoon of what looked to be a little St. Nick. So I thought maybe he was for Little Christmas or he delivered gifts before christmas or something. I like the song a lot... but it does seem like a fun idea for a little St. Nick to deliver presents before S...

Blogmas Day 19- Top 5- Bottom 5 Christmas Songs

So I thought this would be kind of a fun one to do. The best and worst of Christmas songs! Here we go! No real order here! Some of them will have a singer... some won't! Also... there are probably a lot I'm forgetting... this is kind of just what I'm feeling right now. Top 5  1) Last Christmas by Wham! I feel like everyone forgets how talented George Michael is because he's been involved in a few scandals... but he is damn talented! This song is really good! I love it! Sort of one of the Cheesier Christmas songs... but I really really like it! 2) Santa Baby by Eartha Kit- It's hard to get better than Eartha Kitt's Santa Baby. Her voice is so perfect. It's a funny Christmas song, but its also sexy and its just a really really good song. There aren't many versions of Santa Baby that I don't like either... I'm not crazy about Madonna's version... but I still think the song is so good it's pretty okay! I really like the song! 3) Silve...

Blogmas Day 5: Scribbles About Music: Simply Christmas by Leslie Odom, Jr. Review

So when I found out Aaron Burr was having a Christmas CD I got super excited! I think he has my favorite singing voice of anyone in the Original Hamilton cast... and I just really like it! I'm not that into his jazz cd because I'm not that into jazz... but I know he's a really good singer and I like Christmas Music, so it was good! So the selection of songs on the cd is kind of unique. These aren't songs that are un-traditional... but they aren't necessarily ones that you hear all the time on every radio station... and its sort of a different take on them too. The music is unique and Leslie's voice is just so amazing that it really does well with all of the songs. And the songs on the cd are Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, The First Noel, My Favorite Things, I'll Be Home for Christmas, Merry Christmas Darlin, The Christmas song, Winter Song, and Ave Maria... in almost that order... lol. But yeah good selection of songs. I like his version of My F...

Blogmas Day 8: Christmas 2015: It List

So I love making lists, I don't really check them twice...but these are just fun to do and I like doing this, especially fun for Blogmas. So yeah. 1) Green Mountain Gingerbread K Cups- This was also in my December 2015 It list... but it is delicious! Yesterday I also put some Gingerbread Coffee Creamer in it and then put whipped cream and cinnamon on top... so yummy! I like it better than the Starbucks Gingerbread I think! That is saying a lot... but yeah. Its so good! 2) Chocolate Covered Cherry Kisses- Ohhh my gosh... these are my favorite candy. I really like chocolate covered cherries, but I like these a little better because its just the cream in the middle and I LOVE THAT! Sometimes the consistency of cherries in chocolate weirds me out a bit and I feel like I'm biting a toe... this I feel like I'm just eating something with lots of goo. I have a bag in my room... and I needed to hide it cause it was too damn good. I could not stop eating it! 3) Mickey Mouse Chr...

Blogmas Day 1: Favorite Christmas Songs and why

So... I decided to do this on this blog too... just because I feel like I can do this. So every other day, every odd numbered day of the month I will post something personal and Christmas related. Or holiday related. I'm going to just make these funny stories, if you don't celebrate Christmas, this will still be enjoyable. And even though this isn't like a holiday memory or anything... I figured I'd mention my favorite Christmas songs because why not! You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch- This might be my favorite. Its the one song that whenever I hear it brings a smile to my face. Its really funny, I love both the Cartoon and the Jim Carey versions of the Grinch and I think both have great scenes where this song is played... that's like my one thing. If the Jim Carey movie had ruined this sequence, I would have hated it... but it didn't and it is one of my favorites. I just heard this today, I was thinking it was too early for Christmas songs, but this one wil...
