Blogmas Day 9: Things I thought as a kid- CHRISTMAS EDITION!

So I thought for today's post it might be kind of fun to talk about some things that I thought when I was a kid that I realize as an adult aren't exactly how I thought. Now I know what you're all thinking- am I talking about Santa? No- Santa is totally real and I know he's probably too busy to read this blog this time of year... and it's not that popular of a blog... plus I think The North Pole has Wifi- but I'm not 100% sure... but either way Merry Christmas Santa!

Anyway... on to the thoughts!

1) The Song "Little St. Nick" was about a Small Santa

So I don't know if anyone remembers the "Now That's What I Call Christmas" Cd and the commercials for it... but they did show a cartoon of what looked to be a little St. Nick. So I thought maybe he was for Little Christmas or he delivered gifts before christmas or something.

I like the song a lot... but it does seem like a fun idea for a little St. Nick to deliver presents before Santa visits.

Honestly... this is a little silly- but that's the only thing I can really think of! I know there's probably more that I thought when I was a kid that was Christmas related... like lines in certain movies or something like that that I got off and I never noticed it... but this is the only "oh that's kinda cute" story I could think of.

I thought of this from one of the newer Charlie Brown Christmas movies that they played after the classic one recently... Sally thinks Santa Clause is Samantha Clause... and I just thought that was a cute little thing that is something a kid probably does think. And that's cute.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
