Blogmas Day 10: No Sleep Till Christmas Spoiler Review

So this is a weird movie... and I need to start with saying I did not know anything about this movie until like the day it aired. ABC Family did a lot of commercials for it... I didn't think it was a real tv movie- I thought it was just a web advertising thing that they were doing... but nope. It was a real movie... so that was interesting.

I think the concept of this movie is... barely even a concept. Lizzie and Simon both have trouble falling asleep. Lizzie seemingly because she is stressed out about marrying Mr. Right... or Mr. Wright because his name is actually Josh Wright. Although Lizzie is a very successful party planner- she is having trouble planning a wedding with Josh and it doesn't help that she just can't fall asleep.

Simon is a bartender with dreams of opening his own bar... but because he can never sleep he's a slacker and his girlfriend Nicola breaks up with him. One day Simon decides to go for a walk only to be hit by Lizzie's car.

Lizzie offers Simon a ride to the hospital to get checked out shortly after running him over... but then the two end up bonding over the song Lights Down Low by Max (featuring gnash)... I never knew who sang this and just assumed it was Sean Mendez... so that's kind of the good thing out of this. Anyway they end up falling asleep... and getting an actual good nights sleep.

Shortly after that- they go back to their normal lives... but Lizzie can't help thinking about how she could only sleep with him... and she got so much accomplished after that... so eventually she goes to his bar and approaches him with a plan for them to sleep together... but literally just sleep... and she would help him fund his bar.

Basically after that... there are a lot of montages of them sleeping together instead of actually showing their relationship or anything... there's some wedding planning. You can tell enough that they like each other... but it is mostly montages. And then Lizzie's fiance finds out... and obviously eventually Lizzie breaks up with Josh during their wedding... which Simon attends and runs away from... and eventually I think Lizzie hits him with her car again? Or the limo driver or someone hits him with the car.

And the last scene was the two of them sleeping together- calling each other Mr. and Mrs. Whatever Simon's last name is... and then right after they say how great their sleep was- you can hear a baby cry in the backround.

So that was all fun and cute. Honestly I did like the characters of this movie a lot... and while I wasn't a fan of the movie being told mostly through montages and small scenes... I did actually have fun watching it and it was a cute movie. If they ever make a sequel- which I have a feeling they will... I'll probably watch that too. It's not going to be a yearly tradition or anything... but I thought it was cute and I had fun watching it.

PS- Not a Hallmark Movie- this was a Free Form movie.

Bye!

Disney Store Closing Haul

So if you read my post from yesterday- you know that I love The Disney Store, but it is unfortunately closing. I did pick up some things from the store that I thought I'd share with you guys! I did get a couple of t shirts. One is a Star Wars shirt, which is technically a men's shirt but I thought it looked really cool and I don't like that Disney doesn't carry the same things for men and for women. For the most part they look unisex to me and a lot of their men's stuff has characters I like better. Like the star wars shirt for women was grey with pink lettering and had no pictures, but the mens shirt had a really cool metallic silver logo on black clothing with pictures of all the new characters and Luke inside of the letters... much cooler! So I got that! The other shirt I got is really funny and it has Sleeping Beauty on it and it says "I Woke Up Like This." Which I really liked! Super cute and funny and my niece likes it when I wear shirts with c...

Scribbles About Life: 3.10.16

Soooo... I don't really want to post about my day... but I don't really want to post anything else either. I started writing something about female characters in movies and TV... but I just didn't like what I was writing and... idk... I was a blog writing machine this week and now I feel defeated. I wrote a ton on Monday and Tuesday and now I just don't feel like doing a post today... but I want to write still... So I'll talk about things that I guess are on my mind lately... Idk. So I got this Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor... and for some reason... I'm addicted to the way that it smells. Idk why, it smells like cherry medicine... but I also sort of like it. Its more cherry than medicine... and I can't smell it on my lips... but Idk. I keep smelling it in the tube. I got some cute stuff from American Eagle yesterday too! I got a dress and a romper... I do not own any Rompers... except this one... but it looked good on me and it didn't make me look f...

Throwback Thursday: 13 Going On 30

So I watched this on VH1 around Christmas Time because it was on... they really need to bring this movie to Netflix because it's pretty fantastic and VH1 doesn't get the whole thing. I didn't catch the very beginning... but I did watch most of it from around the time when Matty gives her the Dream House... so sweet. It was a little weird to watch this movie because when it came out, I was 13 or almost 13... and now I'm closer to being 30... but I still felt more connected to the 13 year old Jenna instead of the adults in the movie. Like I'm not totally sure when I turned almost 30... but I don't like it. I'm still 13 year old Jenna who likes the same music as when I was 13 and has kind of the same style as I did then... I don't know... its just kind of a weird thing and I was freaking out a little bit from it. This is also the movie that introduced me to one of my favorite actresses, Judy Greer! I love Judy Greer, she's so funny and great and s...
