Blogmas Day 8: Christmas Movie Bucket List

Since I already did the Christmas Bucket List... here's a list of Christmas Movies I want to make sure I watch this year!

1) Merry Christmas Charlie Brown-

This is always what I like to see first at Christmas time. It just gets me in the holiday spirit and I just like the message of the Peanuts Gang learning what Christmas is all about. It also shows Charlie brown getting kind of sad when everyone else is happy for Christmas because Charlie Brown wants something more than just decorations and presents. It's super cute and one I always have to watch. I did kind of watch it already... but I need to watch it again for sure. I was setting up my new phone at the same time.

2) How The Grinch Stole Christmas- Cartoon Version

I really love this one. I did see most of this movie recently... but again- I was also on the phone and stuff... I just got the DVD recently and I'm excited to watch it again and again now instead of just when it's on TV. I also bought the Jim Carey version of the movie... but I don't think that's going to be a priority movie for me this year... I'll try to watch it... but there's a lot I'd like to see.

3) Muppet Christmas Carol
I love this movie. It is my favorite Christmas Carol... I know I have the DVD somewhere... but I just repurchased it because I can't go without seeing it this year. I like the movie too much!

4) Mickey's Christmas Carol
I did just watch the Duck Tales Christmas Special... so I thought this would be a fun one to watch sometime soon. I like watching this with the Snowed In At The House of Mouse Special. It's cute. I love it.

5) Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer-
Usually I try to watch this one early on too... but I haven't watched it just yet. I have it recorded though and I'm excited to watch it.

Some Honorable Mentions: I need to watch The Santa Clause 3 all the way through. I watched The Santa Clause last year and I love The Santa Clause 2... so this year it'll be Santa Clause 3's year... and I actually like it because I like Martin Short more than I used to and it's got a good message if you're a little tired of the "Buy this buy that" of the holidays.

I also want to watch some of my favorite rom coms that I used to watch every year... but idk if I've seen them in a while. The Holiday and Love Actually are the 2 I'm going to watch sometime this season. Maybe tomorrow.

Also sorry... today is December 10th and this is Blogmas Day 8... I was in New York on Friday and I've been sort of in recovery during the weekend... but also working which is hard this time of year. I'm going to try to be more on my game the rest of the month. Maybe I'll do a little more today and tomorrow.

Bye!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
