Blogmas Day 14: Watching One Of My Favorite Christmas Movies With My Niece

So I've talked about my niece before... she's a toddler- she's almost 2 and she's super playful and the cutest! I thought it might be fun to try to watch one of my favorite Christmas Movies- A Muppet Christmas Carol- with her and see how she likes it... this is what happened.

I wasn't really expecting her to pay much attention to it... but I thought maybe she'd laugh and maybe she would like the Muppets because she likes Sesame Street so much... and I think she did a little bit but she mostly just played a little bit and when she got tired she laid down to watch and then she fell asleep... just like what I do!

But when she was asleep it was at my favorite part- Marley and Marley! With my favorite muppets- Statler and Waldorf...So that was a fun part for me to kind of sit down and watch with my dad. He thinks its funny too... and then we watched Fozziwig's Old Rubber Chicken Factory- which my dad also laughed at... which was funny.

And I had to get ready a little bit to go out with my boyfriend... so I missed some parts after that- but when Athena woke up it was the end and I think she pointed at Gonzo and she was still playing and having fun.

So different experience than I thought- but still a fun movie to watch with loved ones and relive my childhood a little.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
