Blogmas Day 12: Non Holiday Movies I love Around The Holidays

There are a lot of great Christmas Movies... but there are some movies that Aren't Christmas Movies that are just as fun to watch around the holiday season... Sooooo that is what I'm talking about I guess.

1) Toy Story Series

I love the Toy Story Series... plus what's more fun for Christmas than Toys???? I watch this movie like all year long- not going to lie... but there is something special about watching it at Christmas. It makes me feel like a kid and I can remember when Santa Clause used to bring me new toys and the excitement of guessing what it was.

2) Star Wars

I love Star Wars... and there's something nice about watching movies that you love in the comfort of your own home on Christmas... and with the new Star Wars Series being released mostly around the holiday season... it just makes sense to watch them all around Christmas. Not something you need to watch at Christmas- especially since not everyone like Star Wars... but if you do... it's fun to watch at Christmas.

3) Frozen
Frozen is almost a Christmas movie... its a winter movie... so it just makes sense to watch around the holidays.

4) Tangled
Tangled is better than Frozen... so if I'm going to watch Frozen- might as well watch Tangled!

5) Any Disney Renaissance Movie

Again- these were the types of movies I'd get on DVD when I was a kid... so of corse I watch them still around the holiday season. When I was in High School and college my friends and I tried to re-watch all the movies when we could get together during Winter Break... so it's just good.

Some favorites? Aladdin, Hercules, Beauty and The Beast... all of these have a Christmas feel to me. These are also the types of movies teachers would play around the holidays too.

6) Harry Potter-

Harry Potter usually has a pretty magical Christmas scene... the earlier movies were released around Christmas Time... and it's nice to have something magical to watch at Christmas.

7) Pirates of The Caribbean-
Okay not really... but for a few years they aired this on Christmas. So... maybe?

8) Musicals
There is just something Christmas-y about Musicals... so Christmas is the time I like to watch Musicals. Christmas music or not... I just like music from musicals around this time and that's when I like to watch musicals. Whether its Elf the Musical or something like Flight of The Concords or Chicago... or one of the Very Potter Musicals... it's something I like around Christmas.

I think that's actually all I have for today! Hope you guys like it!

9) Mary Poppins-

I guess this goes along with musicals... but this one is like the ultimate movie musical... and I just really like watching it around the holidays. I'm excited to see the new one which should be out soon... but this is a great movie- and a great Christmas Present for anyone really.

10) Jumanji-
Jumanji has one Christmas scene at the end... I'm talking about the original one- though I did really like the new version too... This is a great rainy day movie and just a really really fun one to watch when it's cold outside and you want to stay home.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
