Chart Chat! 9.25.17

Heyyy guys! I'm a little surprised at this week's charts... I know it was a tough call what would be number 1... and I'm not that surprised at number 1... but I'm a little surprised at number 3... so I'm just going to get into it and we'll talk a little bit about these movies! 10) Wind River- This has been on the charts for 8 weeks! I don't believe it's ever been at number 1 in those 8 weeks... it sounds okay but it could also maybe be bad IMHO... I'll watch it on TV if I get super bored...but I'm not that interested. 9) Stronger- This movie does sound very interesting. Jake Gyllenhaal has already got some Oscar Buzz for this role ... I want to see this. It looks sad though but the actors are very talented and I think they'll do a great job with it! This is based off of a true story- I mentioned that in the weekly Pop. This still isn't wide released... so I think it will do a lot better in upcoming weeks. 8) The Hitman's Body Gu...

Not much surprise here... but let's keep on going! 10) Dunkirk-  9 weeks on the top ten isn't too bad! I think this is going out of theaters and onto DVD and streaming services pretty soon... so I'm excited for that. I've talked about this movie for the past nine weeks... so you know my feelings. I'm going to watch it eventually... but yeah! 9) Spider Man: Homecoming-  Again... I've talked about this movie for the last 11 weeks... so you should know how I feel about this as well. I love Spider Man... I'm excited to see this... but yeah. Not something I saw... just didn't get to movies this year... I really don't go often... I love going to movies... I don't know many other people that really do and it's expensive and time consuming... so it kinda is what it is... but yeah- Spider Man is great and I like it! I'll see it on TV! 8) Leap!-  This looked cute... if I see this on TV and remember to watch it- I'll let you know how I feel ...

Chart Chat 6.26.17

Alrighty! Let's see what's number 10... and then what's number 1. With the other numbers in the middle! 10) Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 2- Ughhhh I wanted to see this movie! I thought I'd see it this weekend... life happened so I didn't see it but I hope it's on DVD soon because I don't think I'll see it before it goes out. If I see any movie it'll be Despicable Me 3... and idk if I'll see that... so yeah. 9) Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie- This looks funny. This was another one that I was kind of surprised by... similar to the new Smurfs movie... I thought this would be a little bit more popular than it was. I can see why it wasn't... but it looks like a fun story of Friendship and it just looks fun! 8) Rough Night- Idk about this one... hasn't been doing to well on the charts either... so I'm guessing a lot of people were like "nahhh... I'd rather see The Mummy." Which is a little shocking to me... b...

Chart Chat 6.5.17

Sorry I didn't post this weekend on either blog... I've been kinda busy and the blogs aren't my #1 focus right now... so I might miss a blog here or there... I'm trying lol. Anyway here are the top 10 movies of the moment and what I think about them! 10) King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword- Hopefully this is the last time I'll have to talk about this! Unless I do decide to write a blog where I watch movies I kind of bash in the chart chat because I can't relate to them. Lol. 9) Diary of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul- Again... hopefully I won't have to talk about this anymore. Lol. This one isn't so bad that I would include it in those blogs... more because it isn't my type of movie because it's not for my age group... it isn't really a terrible movie per se its just not going to be relevant to an adult woman. 8) Snatched- I love Amy Schumer... idk if I'll get to see this movie. Maybe if it's still in theaters the next few weeks I'...

Chart Chat 5.22.17

Top 10 of the week! We've got a lot of new movies and an alien movie beat out another alien movie! Let's get right into it. 10) How To Be a Latin Lover- This movie made 29.5 million dollars in the 4 weeks it's been on the charts... including one week when I believe it was the #1 or #2 movie in the country. Not too bad... but the number 1 and number 2 movie this week both grossed over 30million this week alone... so that's something. Right? I was going to say "I guess people didn't want to be a latin lover that bad" but... it did make a lot of money anyway... so that's a thing. This is probably not going to be on the charts next week... so I just wanted to come up with something else interesting to say about it because the last four weeks I've been like "Yeah... Salma Hayak amiright?" 9) Beauty and The Beast- This movie has done pretty darn well! It is its 10th week on the charts and it has made in total 497.8 Million!!!! That's a ...

Chart Chat 5.15.17

Alrighty! Top 10 movies! Can Snatched with Amy Schumer or the movie with Charlie Hunam that needs no plot because Charlie Hunam is in it beat Guardians of the Galaxy? Nope! Spoilers. 10) Bauhubali 2: The Conclusion- This did pretty well in the US for a foreign film. It's the third week on the charts and it's been slipping since then... doesn't sound like my cup of tea... but it's probably better than Ghost in The Shell right? The movie at least... I might try watching animae sometime. 9) The Circle- This has a very low rating on Rotten Tomatoes according to my mom... I still want to see it. Maybe it's predictable or just not what everyone was expecting... gotta admit that is one exciting cast though! I hope they do more movies together. Lol. 8) Lowriders- First week on the charts off to a bad start! Based on the  IMDB description  this actually kind of interests me. It's about a street artist and his relationship with his father and his brother who is in t...

Chart Chat: Weekend of April 28th-30th

Another slow week at the movies... so not a ton to say here on the Chart Chat... but next week I'm hoping for Guardians of The Galaxy 2 to make things a little more exciting. There's a chance I'm seeing it on Friday... probably not... but I'll see it in the near future... so yeah! 10) Unforgettable- This is already forgotten! It's the same as the Beyonce movie that came out a few years ago but with Katherine Heigl instead of Ali Larter... who looks JUST like Katherine Heigl to me... idk if Beyonce can't make a movie concept good... neither can Katherine Heigl... I've talked about this movie more than I needed to already... save your money- watch it when it's on Lifetime in 10 years. 9) Gifted- This looks good too... but yeah. Not really the #1 movie I would pick on the box office. Chris Evans is hot and I'm not super into Captain America... so I think I'll enjoy this a little bit more... but it's still not going to get me to the movies! ...

Chart Chat! 2/6/17

Alrighty... another chart chat here! I know I said I'd have a Jane The Virgin Recap/ Reaction today... but I think I'm going to save it until Friday just in case people are a little behind on watching it because there will be spoilers... so please watch the show first and then come back here to read my recap Friday! 10) Lion- This movie looked really really good. Dev Patel is in it... I really like him! I loved Slumdog Millionaire and this sounded like an interesting story also. Nicole Kidman is in it too... it just looked like a really great movie. 9) The Space Between Us- This is a weird movie... why do so many science fiction movies want to keep humans hostage on Mars it seems? This looks interesting but there's a lot going on in it for a movie... also the title "The Space Between Us" is kind of too much... they don't even play the Dave Matthews song in the previews... idk it looks a little too familiar and a little too over the top for me... it's t...

Chart Chat- 1/30/17

10) Gold- Never heard of this movie! It sounds kind of boring from the IMDB description. It's basically about finding Gold... it says released in 2016... so that's weird. But yeah. Doesn't sound like something I'm going to watch. But good it's in the top 10. Ohhh Matthew McConauhey and Bryce Dallas Howard are in it. Might be good. Lol. 9) Monster Trucks- Really shocked this movie did so badly! I really thought it looked good! I think that MacGyver guy is going to be a big star... mostly because he's hot... and I just thought this would be more of a thing. 8) Rogue One- I love Star Wars! Hopefully I can see this movie before it's out of theaters... don't think I will... but hopefully I don't get spoiled at least. It looks really good. I recently rewatched the originals... so this is probably a good time for me to see it. 7) Sing- The soundtrack for this movie is amazing! I want to see the movie... don't think I will in theaters, but I love t...

Chart Chat 11.21.16

So I figured I'd do this a third week in a row... because why not? Lol. 10) Shut In- This is a horror movie with Naomi Watts... which is a good combo! I liked Naomi Watts in The Ring and I just think that's something she does really well. There aren't many actresses I'm like "Wow they can do serious movies... but they're so great in thrillers!" She is one of them! Jodi Foster, and Natalie Portman I think are other good examples... but yeah. This is probably a good movie. Not doing super great on the charts as this is its 2nd week out... but it has tough competition. 9) The Accountant- Again... no idea what this movie is about... almost got spoiled... I want to see it, but its going to be hard to actually review something that I can't talk about without spoiling too much. I'm sure its good. Ben Affleck again is good with thrillers... and I'm thinking this is a thriller... but yeah! It looks good! 8) Bleed For This- This has Miles Teller, w...

Chart Chat! 8.22.16

This week is very similar to what it was last week... so I'm not really doing a countdown on it... I'm just gonna say what I think and what I know of the movies... so its kind of regular but kind of different I guess. I'm not sure... but we'll see! 1) Suicide Squad- 3rd week in a row! I think this will end up saving the new DC movies that are coming out... even though I've heard bad reviews on it, its making a lot of money... and maybe that's a good thing about it being released in August. I've said this isn't exactly one I'm rushing to see in theaters, but I think it'll be a fun one to watch at home. Like Watchmen... I know a lot of people didn't like the movie Watchmen... I liked it, but I think its because I watched it at home and not in the theaters. I feel like it'd be a little cheesy in the theaters, but at home I could accept the cheese. 2) Sausage Party- I think I'm going to have to see this when its on TV. I really don...

Chart Chat 8.15.16

Here's the Top 10 movies this week! I didn't want to do this every single week... but I'm kind of liking it... so let me know if you want me to keep this up or stop for something else. Most likely if the charts are too similar and nothing really interesting happens, I'll skip a week... but there was something I thought was kind of interesting this week. So yeah! 10) Light's Out- This is its 4th week on the charts and it's made 61.1 million dollars... not to bad! A lot of times horror movies are pretty low budget and do quite well in the box office... so while I thought this wasn't that good the last few weeks... it probably isn't really that bad. And horror movies never advertise a lot... so that's kind of cool. Yes the budget on this movie was $4,900,000 and it made $21,600,000 opening weekend... so that's not bad at all! Horror movie business seems like the business to be in! Lol. 9) 9 Lives- This movie looks terrible... but in a good way. ...

Chart Chat: 8.8.16

10) Ice Age: Collision Course- I was just thinking about how good the first Ice Age was and how different it was back then that it is now. If you haven't seen it, its really cute. It was in 2002... so its been 14 years! Wow! Did not realize it was over 10 years ago. But it was a very simple movie with Manny, Sid, and Diego who found a baby and were trying to get him back home to his family... and then Scrat's adventures were just kind of a side-story. And then I saw the second one with Queen Latifah and the cast grew and it just got to be a little crazy and totally different... and its just funny to think it started out that simple. I was thinking of it when I was watching The Good Dinosaur. It makes me happy that Pixar doesn't do many sequels cause it felt like a Pixar movie... and I haven't seen any others... but I doubt its at the level it was back then... so that's kind of sad thinking about that... but again I've never seen the new ones, so I can't full...

Chart Chat:7.18.16

I'm gonna do Chart Chat a little differently today and actually go with the top 10 movies of the week instead of the top 5. We'll see how that works! 10) Independence Day: Resurgence- Bottom of the list but still holding on strong considering its been in theaters for so long. I never saw Independence Day because it came out when I was 5 or 6 and I was TERRIFIED of aliens because my mom took me to see the movie Mars Attacks, which is a very funny movie, but very disturbing for a 5 year old! And I wanted to see this when I was little, but my mom made sure I didn't see it because I was so scared of Mars Attacks. A few years later I went to Disney and at the time there was a ride called "Alien Encounter" which is now the Stitch Ride... and that was the scariest thing that ever happened to me in my life. Lol. Somehow now I love Aliens and The X Files... so go figure...but I feel like I'll need to see the original before I watch the Hemsworth brother-y version. Lo...
