Chart Chat! 9.25.17

Heyyy guys! I'm a little surprised at this week's charts... I know it was a tough call what would be number 1... and I'm not that surprised at number 1... but I'm a little surprised at number 3... so I'm just going to get into it and we'll talk a little bit about these movies!

10) Wind River- This has been on the charts for 8 weeks! I don't believe it's ever been at number 1 in those 8 weeks... it sounds okay but it could also maybe be bad IMHO... I'll watch it on TV if I get super bored...but I'm not that interested.

9) Stronger- This movie does sound very interesting. Jake Gyllenhaal has already got some Oscar Buzz for this role ... I want to see this. It looks sad though but the actors are very talented and I think they'll do a great job with it! This is based off of a true story- I mentioned that in the weekly Pop. This still isn't wide released... so I think it will do a lot better in upcoming weeks.

8) The Hitman's Body Guard- This has been on the top 10 charts for 6 weeks... and it's been holding kind of steady for a few weeks... it was number 1 on the charts for the first 3 weeks of it's run and it was still in the top 5 the last couple of weeks... so although this has fallen on the charts- it probably did better than it should have. I don't think this is exactly a hit movie- I can't imagine it being anyone's favorite movie ever or becoming a cult classic or anything... but 3 weeks at number 1 isn't bad! 5 weeks on the top 5 isn't bad and 6 weeks in the top 10 isn't bad either... so yeah.

7) Friend Request- This looks like a cheesey horror movie based on the digital age... I'm a little done with those... once you've seen one- you've seen them all right. Either way- in the top 7... first week on the charts... not the first horror movie I'd see out of all the options out right now... but still... this is a movie.

6) mother! - So this is getting pretty terrible reviews and buzz from that. I've heard it's really disturbing- I've heard it's pretty funny... I want to see it because of all this weird buzz around it. It is not the new Rosemary's Baby from what I can tell... but I think it tried to be... and yeah. I have no idea what to say about this one!

5) Home Again- This movie looked cute. Not the best movie ever... probably something that has been done before in a more interesting way... but nothing else is really out and I like Reese Witherspoon... so it might be worth seeing!

4) American Assassin- Again... this movie doesn't sound too interesting to me... but it might be... idk. I'm not sure what it's about.

3) The Lego Ninjago movie- This looks so funny! I want to see this one. I don't know that much about Ninjago... but this looks really cute and super funny. I liked The Lego Movie- didn't see Batman... want to see this one... I expected this to be #1 this weekend... so this is what surprised me... but its still good.

2) It- This looked scary... but as I've said before... don't think it's as scary as the original and I wasn't really scared by the original... I do think this movie needed a remake and it seems everyone was really excited for it... so there you go!

1) Kingsman: Golden Circle- I didn't see all of the first Kingsman movie... but I liked what I saw of it... so I was disappointed that this one got such bad reviews... I'll have to check Rotten Tomatoes, because Sandy Kenyon gave this a bad review- but maybe regular people on Rotten Tomatoes like it... 50% so it's on the green side... not horrible but mother actually has a red 63% tomato... so... there's that. 75% of audience members liked it so that is pretty good.

Alright guys! Hope you guys like this!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
