Scribbles About Food: Starbucks Pumpkin Scones + Pumpkin Madelines

Okay... If you don't want to get addicted to the Starbucks Pumpkin Scones, you might not want to read this post... because it is kind of a game changer.

I used to really like the pumpkin scones and I would order them a lot when I was in college. Its just a really nice, pretty filling breakfast... very pumpkiny and really good. I was looking forward to these coming back when the Pumpkin Spice Latte came back.

Here's the game changer... the manager at the starbucks I go to recommended to heat the scone up and put butter on it... and that really makes a huge difference in the taste! Scones are often served with some sort of cream or something because they're a little bit dry...so the butter really helps to make it nice and moist and then when you heat it up it gets melty and it is warm and delicious! I really love it!

It is a little heavy and sweet for the morning... even for me... it will kind of hold you over for lunch if you ask me. It tastes good without the butter and without being heated up too... but this just makes a huge difference!

Then they have the madelines... which are kind of like a cake-cookie. It's light like a cake- but kind of in the shape and small size as a cookie. I don't really know what madelines are... I think just a very light cookie. Really yummy... nice and light like madelines are supposed to be... it's just really good. Pumpkin flavor is good- cookie is really nice. I just really liked it.

That is everything... short post today- hope you guys like it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
