Throwback Thursday: Lady Gaga Artpop Review

So this I was actually pleasantly surprised to listen to again. Artpop was my least favorite Lady Gaga cd… and honestly… idk if I can say that anymore. I liked it way more than I thought I would. I think I’ve only listened to it all the way through once before this… and I understand why… but at the same time- I’d like listening to these with all the other Gaga songs on Shuffle or something.

There’s only one song on this that I really don’t like. Jewels and Drugs is just not my thing… I didn’t really like the rap in it… I didn’t feel like there was enough Gaga on it. I also am not a fan of R.Kelly as a person… he’s a very talented singer and entertainer… I actually watched all of Trapped in The Closet… but I know he’s had some pretty bad scandals in the past… and I just can’t really support him as a person. I heard him at a club recently and I was like “I feel funny dancing to this because I don’t like R Kelly…” I’m not a club person.

Anyway other than that I really like all the songs… but they are all very Dancy and very sexy… and I kind of wished there was just one song like Speechless or You and I to kind of break it up. Gypsy was kind of like that… but with the energy of this cd… I feel like there should be something a little bit earlier. It’s just very very dancy and it’s totally the opposite of Joanne. It’s so amazing how the same singer did both of these cds.

So favorite songs on the cd… Aura, Venus,G.U.Y and Sexxx Dreams used to be my favorites… and I still really like them. But I have to say I love Gypsy, Swine, Mary Jane Holland, and Applause a lot too. Applause was always one of my favorite singles from Lady Gaga and I feel like it’s such an underrated song. I was surprised she performed it on her Joanne tour and I really loved that performance! It’s also one of my favorite music videos ever. Ohhh and i love the song Artpop… it’s just really great!

Alright… now I have to rank my favorite Gaga Cds…

5. The Fame Monster
4. Artpop
3. The Fame
2. Joanne
Born This Way

I’m kind of surprised at this order… I knew Born This Way is my total favorite ever… surprised I like Joanne so much! It’s so different… but I just really love all the songs. It’s a good one!

Okay! That is the end of the Lady Gaga Throwback Thursday Extravaganaza… kind of. I will have a review of American Horror Story: Hotel within the next few weeks… maybe next week… I might do a Taylor Swift Throwback Thursday because I haven’t started watching Hotel again… we’ll see what happens lol.

Byee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
