So I am taking a class right now about plays and we're reading a lot of plays I read in high school and stuff... so I figured hey, why not write a throwback Thursday about the one we started with. The Glass Menagerie was probably one of my favorite things that they made us read in high school... but in recent years I've found it kind of ridiculous. It's a weird concept for a play, all the characters are odd and its pretty bizarre overall. I thought it would be one of those plays that if I ever had to read it again, I wouldn't like it. Actually, I feel like I like it a little bit more now. It isn't different really, but I feel like I connected to different characters differently. The only person that I could connect with in high school was Laura and that was because I felt like I was in a very similar situation to her relationship with Jim and the kiss.
