WHO IS JULIO????? Bruno Mars Theory

So today I have another sort of short, unplanned blog because... that's just how life works sometimes. Anyway I was just listening to Uptown Funk on the radio today in the car with my mom... enjoying the catchy tune... when all of a sudden I heard the line "Julio, get the stretch!" And I was like "Oh he's telling someone named Julio to do something. Normal for a Bruno Mars song. Wait... that is normal for a Bruno Mars song... he does this in another song. And then I realized he says "Julio, serve that Scampi" in That's What I like. WHATTT????? WHO IS JULIO???? Easy Explanation: It's just a name in a couple of songs. Slightly Less Easy Explanation: It's Bruno's assistant/ personal chef. Honestly... I could find out. I'm not the first person that noticed this... there's a reddit thread about it. There was a video where Dua Lipa tried to find out... I did not watch the video because I'm watching Brooklyn 99 right now.....

Some Pretty Funny Mini Stories That Happened Recently

Okay... so I feel like I have a few stories to tell... a lot of random funny things have happened this past week or so and I just feel like telling them... so yeah. Hope these are interesting. The Penny Pincher  This actually happened a while ago. And some backstory: My mom and I babysit my niece on weekdays and my niece is a toddler- who is pretty easygoing- and I don't really mind watching her on my own...but somedays it gets a little long and it's nice to have 2 people there. Anyway she had to go to the grocery store to get a tomato sauce... and we like a particular kind of tomato sauce... some woman actually took that tomato sauce out of her cart and put the generic version in her cart because "this woman knows tomato sauce and this stuff is the same." It really wasn't the same at all... the type I think had diced tomatoes and that isn't what we needed for the recipe or something like that. The tomatoes were different and it wouldn't have worked wi...

I Ate At A Restaurant Right Before it Got Shut Down...

Remember how I mentioned that I went to Serendipity 3 for my 16th birthday and there was a little story behind that also... well... Even though I knew my parents didn't really like the food- I really liked the desserts there and the food I had was pretty good so I still wanted to go back. And my friends had talked about it every once and a while and I wanted to do something special with them too... so I thought going to NY for that would be pretty fun. And before we went there we stopped at Dylan's Candy Bar... which is the first time I had ever been there and that place is a lot of fun too. I've been there once since then and it's just a cool place... and I love candy so yeah. It was fun we each made a bucket of candy. So... yeah we went and we had fun and then I think the very same week... definitely within a month the restaurant was all over the news... and if you read the title I'm sure you know why! It was closed because of health code violations... I belie...

Waiting for Exciting Things on My Birthday.

Sooo I thought this would be an interesting thing to post... maybe it isn't lol... idk but here it is anyway... Since I talked about the excitements of my 21st birthday... I thought I would tell you about the times when I had to do something kind of boring before the fun stuff! So the weekend before my 15th birthday I had a Saturday detention. I know right? I had just gotten to high school- it was when Camera Phones were new and they didn't allow them at school... so they took it away for a month and gave me a Saturday Detention because I forgot to turn the ringer off and someone called in class. Side Note: I've been getting wrong number calls for as long as I've had this phone... so it wasn't even a right number. And Me being the Arrested Development obsessed teen that I was- my ringtone was The Final Countdown... so of corse everyone could hear it and everyone that knew me pretty well knew it was me. And my parents didn't really care that I got a Saturday....

Hump Day Update: Favorites, News,TV, Food, and More!

Alright... so I'm kind of reviving the old format of the Weekly Wrap Up... but I wanted to kind of revive it! What I'm Watching!  Netflix: I'm almost done watching American Horror Story Hotel. Netflix is getting rid of this season in October- so if you like it- haven't seen it yet or want to watch it again- NOW IS THE TIME! I'll have a Throwback Thursday on that tomorrow I hope! Youtube: I've been really looking forward to The Tim Tracker's Vlogs lately. He and his wife do a lot of spooky fun halloween things. They stayed at Universal recently and have some videos up of their stay there and their Halloween Horror Nights adventures. I don't live in Florida and don't go to theme parks often at all... but this makes me feel like I'm there and I'm pretty happy about it! Also Justin Scarred is always a favorite. He did a video at Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights- which looks so scary! At Hollywood you can actually see inside the hou...

Weekly Wrap Up 7.13.17

Sunday August 6th 2017   Today was kind of a chill day. I went out for dinner/ early lunch and to Starbucks with my parents… but that was about it. It was a nice day… just kind of chill. I don’t think I blogged… I think I watched some youtube videos and maybe I worked a little on my Instagram and Bullet Journal… but nothing big and it was just nice.   My brother in law took a cute picture of my niece on a bench that my dad was so excited to order and he ordered the picture… so we didn’t actually get it at Costco… but we are soon and that’s really fun. I slept in a little bit too. I mentioned last week that my parents were away on Friday and my dog missed them so he was up all night barking and then the next day I slept in… and I went to sleep pretty well on Saturday Night… but sleeping in on Sunday was good too… and I ended up staying up late at night and watching Coffeebreakwithdani’s vlogs… I don’t know why- I’ve been loving watching Vlogs where people are like ...

Rory's Story Cubes Story: 8.13.16

I'm going to write a story with Rory's Story Cubes because why not? And I'm doing it word of the day style... and the word of the day is Cosmopolis on dictionary.com so... it will be based around a city I suppose! Alright! So I rolled them first and just so you know... the order is Turtle, Book, L or Scrabble Tile, Parachute, Clock, Foutain, Castle, Arrow Pointing Northwest, and an airplane. (Also used Fish, Beetle,Abacus, magnets It's tough being a viral video celebrity. Sure, David wasn't as famous as many others like the zombie kid that said "I like Turtles" on halloween or the "Charlie bit my finger" kid or even David after dentist... but he was still fairly famous in his own right. A news reporter was talking to him about his parents having quintuplets on the local news... live and he made fart noises, wet his pants and started crying. David loved the celebrity at the time... but he resented it now that he was a grown man and people ar...

Scribbles About Life: The Mildly Amusing Story From The Eye Doctor

So in January I went to the eye doctors to pick up glasses and some mild hilarity ensued. I mentioned this in a weekly wrap up back in January... and I figured I'd save the story till May because why not! I'm giving myself the month of May off Anyway so picking up glasses that you've already paid for doesn't take a very long time usually... but there was this teenage boy in front of us taking FOREVER to decide what glasses he wants. This never happens at my eye doctors because the woman working at the glasses counter is the absolute best! She looks at you, gets an idea of what you like and picks out the pair you will fall in love with on the first try. She's super amazing with that... and I'm indecisive on things... especially things I'm going to wear on my face... but she just gets peoples styles and chooses the perfect pair right away. But yeah this kid... btw a teenage boy who was probably going to lose that pair of glasses a week after getting them.....

Story Time: Spencer and The Bird

So here's a cute and sad story that really did happen today. We have this big open window at my house, and my dog Spencer likes to look out the window and bark at anything he sees. But today it was a little different. Spencer was looking up at the sky and he was crying. And it was such a sad sound and we didn't know what it was. But then I said "Is there a birdy? Are you crying at the birdy?" And there was a bird on  the wire all alone... and that was sad! My mom noticed that she thought it was a Morning Dove or a Love Dove and usually those are in pairs, but it was all alone on the wire. And it was a rainy, gloomy day so it was kind of a sad day anyway... especially for a bird all alone on the wire. And Spencer kept looking up for him and barking and howling at him and scratching on the window to get out. It was really sad and really sweet that he was looking after this bird. I thought of the bird as his "Woodstock." Like Snoopy's friend Woodstock...

Close Encounters of The Real People Kind 2: I wonder how the conversation got to that!

So have you ever just listened to what people around you are talking about? You should try because it can be quite entertaining. Here are just a few examples of that. Be warned: one is a little graphic and disgusting. I'll save that for last. Viewer  Reader Discretion is Advised. 1) "I didn't know it was a marijuana leaf" 2) "No dude I swear it was Alien Blood" 3) "Yeah I pirated the privacy software" (okay, I actually heard this whole convo, so I know how it got to there and it was a few years ago, so I only kind of remember this, but it was one of those "wtf" moments. I totally didn't know how people did that. And it defeats the purpose. Lol.) ... tbh I totally thought I had more of these and I don't want to tell the nasty one yet, so I'll just go into what my friend and I do because of these little thingys. So my friend and I are always annoyed by this one kiosk guy at the mall. I don't know what it is, but like ...

Close Encounters of the Real People Kind 1: How Not To Pick Up Chicks.

So you know those people that you see that you can't believe are real people? Or you hear a part of their conversation and you wonder how the conversation ended up at that? It's kind of like an Alien encounter, but these people are all real unfortunately and I've seen a bunch of them. And since I don't know these people, I have no shame in talking about them on the internet. I'm sure they're lovely people (well... maybe some of them) but nevertheless they could use some internet stories. I'm going to start off with a train story, which are usually the best ones. If you guys have never been to Newark Penn Station, it's a weird place and half of these stories are from there. This one was actually on the train from NY Penn to Newark Penn. I don't think this Real Person got off at Newark Penn (thank god) but still, if you want to look for crazy people, I recommend public transportation. Anyhoo so this guy was hitting on this girl and he was doing eve...
