Story Time: Spencer and The Bird

So here's a cute and sad story that really did happen today. We have this big open window at my house, and my dog Spencer likes to look out the window and bark at anything he sees.

But today it was a little different. Spencer was looking up at the sky and he was crying. And it was such a sad sound and we didn't know what it was. But then I said "Is there a birdy? Are you crying at the birdy?" And there was a bird on  the wire all alone... and that was sad!

My mom noticed that she thought it was a Morning Dove or a Love Dove and usually those are in pairs, but it was all alone on the wire. And it was a rainy, gloomy day so it was kind of a sad day anyway... especially for a bird all alone on the wire.

And Spencer kept looking up for him and barking and howling at him and scratching on the window to get out. It was really sad and really sweet that he was looking after this bird. I thought of the bird as his "Woodstock." Like Snoopy's friend Woodstock. It was so cute.

The bird eventually flew away, we didn't see if anyone was with him or not...but hopefully. The bird didn't seem to be injured or anything, he was up there fine, he just looked lonely and Spencer started crying for him.

Anyways... idk if thats what Spencer was really barking at, I'm not a bird expert or a dog expert really... but Spencer wasn't hurt and he was looking right up at that bird!

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
