Scribbles About Food: Lay's Korean BBQ

So this is interesting. I've never had Korean BBQ before... so this is my first experience with it... and idk that I'm going to judge Korean BBQ just on this... lol. I still want to try it... but this was not my favorite.

This isn't bad, I'll start off with that. I'll finish the bag, I only have a small bag... but it has kind of a weird after-taste. Idk if that's because I don't really like anything fake-meat flavored... idk why I've tried some that I like... but its still a weird thing to me. I would prefer it just be barbecue sauce and I think this might have some sort of a chicken or pork taste to it and thats what's making it a little weird... or maybe I just don't love the Barbecue sauce in it... but its not the best.

And its hard to explain... the other day I tried an Iced Tea that tasted like Nail Polish Remover... and this is sort of like that... but its not quite as strong. Its like there's a tanginess to the sauce that made it taste a little like nail polish... but you could tell it was sauce. Almost like a Teriyaki sauce... but not a good one. It was a little weird. And its just the aftertaste mostly that was weird.

All in all... I don't think these are better than regular Barbecue potato chips. I think the one Lays has against these are different than the ones I remember from Lays. I know Lays had the KC Masterpiece bbq chips a long time ago but they have these up against a Honey Barbecue chip and I didn't try that one. I like Wegman's Kettle Cooked Barbecue chips.

So yeah... not better than Cool Ranch Doritos, not better than regular barbecue chips... and not better than the Gouda potato chips. Not bad... but not something I'd buy again or eat a lot of.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
