So if you are a beer drinker or a coffee fan in New Jersey... you probably know about Kane Brewery and Rook Coffee... and they have a beer together called Morning Bell and I tried it a few weeks ago... and its interesting, so I figured I'd do a review on it.
I've only done one other beer review on this blog for Not Your Father's Root Beer... and I'm not really a huge beer drinker... but I feel like I know about it enough to talk about it here... so yeah. Please only try this if you are 21 or over and drink responsibly! I'm 24 btw... people usually think I'm younger...so I'm just clarifying that in case anyone is like "Why am I taking beer advice from a teenage girl?" I'm not a teenage girl... so yeah. Happy Women's Appreciation Month! Lol.
So this is basically beer combined with black coffee... which is weird. But the beer is good and Rook Coffee is not terrible black. As I said I'm not a huge beer drinker... but I also don't really like black coffee... so I didn't really like this and thats kind of why... but it was still pretty good and I did like it. What a weird review... but this is a weird flavor. I didn't love the two flavors together... but at the same time I could kind of appreciate the individual flavors separately so they came together for something really interesting and yummy.
I haven't haven't had Rook Coffee in a long time... its a little strong for me but I still like it a lot. They have a pumpkin spice flavor and a Gingerbread flavor that are good. I also like their New Orleans blend... its got some chocolatey-ness in it. Its good. And I've never had Kane Beer... but this makes me want to try it because it was a good beer. It was strong and very dark... but still really good.
So this was kinda gross, kinda good. It doesn't come with a lot in the bottle but you can't re-seal it... so keep that in mind.
Other than that... this is the most interesting thing you'll probably ever taste... so even if this sounds unappealing to you, you should try it! Especially if you're a coffee or beer fan. My sister doesn't like beer or black coffee either and she liked this too... so its a weird thing that you kind of have to try. I guess its probably hard to try if you aren't in the central jersey area... but its a must if you are!
