March 2016:It List

So here are my favorite things for March! I feel like this is a tricky one cause so far I've been liking things for a few days and then getting bored with them... so lets see what happens. Lol.

1) Big Love- This is weird... idk why I started watching this really... but I sort of wanted to watch a movie, but it was too late to watch a movie, so I started watching this. Its an older HBO show... but not too old. Its about a man that is a polygamist and he has 3 wives and it shows their struggles and a polygamist compound that his parents live in... its crazy. A lot of stuff happened in the very first episode. And the rest of the show is kind of the same. A lot of times there's a lot going on, and sometimes its just like a regular family show... its such an interesting shift and its pretty good. Chloe Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin and Amanda Seyfried are all in this show. And Deb from Napoleon Dynamite! Which is pretty cool!

2) The Wicked Soundtrack- I've been into musicals lately... that is not a secret, I've been talking about Hamilton a lot, and Something Rotten I saw in October and I still listen to the soundtrack a lot... but Wicked is one I was like "heyyy, I'm gonna listen to the Wicked Soundtrack again" and I've been really liking it! This is a great musical... with great music too. I hope they come out with a movie because that would just be awesome. There aren't too many songs on the soundtrack.... but they're good and a lot goes on in this musical! Lol. Maybe Amanda Seyfried could be Galinda? Lol. Just thinking!

3) Living Proof Products- I've been really liking my hair lately and I feel like its cause I switched my shampoo from Purology to Living Proof. I love the Shampoo and Conditioner in the PhD line and the 5-in-1 styling treatment... and the Dry Shampoo. These really work for me... and Living Proof isn't cheap, but I'm sort of okay with that for hair products... and you can get this at Ulta and get points. I got a $10 set from Sephora and I really like it.

4) Instagram- I've been really into Instagram recently. I actually started a beauty instagram called Shannonsreviews where I review things. I just did a big colourpop review day. Its just fun and its made me feel more creative and I really like it.

5) Periscope- I discovered Periscope at the end of february I think... and I really like it. There's a great community of beauty "vloggers" on there and they're super helpful and fun to watch. It's like youtube but more honest and casual. Its really a good app where you can just watch people live their lives and talk. I've been having fun on it.

6) Watching Movies just to watch them- This is the most fun thing. I've just been watching movies just to watch them... and I'll blog about them but I haven't been bored, I haven't been watching movies that are necessarily my types of movies... but I've been watching movies I've kind of wanted to watch and watching them to get out of my comfort zone. And I'll blog about them like I do with my mini movie reviews I used to do a long time ago... but this is just fun. I like it!

7) Food- I've been doing a lot of scribbles about food... so I'm going to put food on this list. Lol. I like writing about cool new snacks because I just kind of like reviewing things and food is a fun one to review. I think my Smoked Cheddar and Gouda Chips got a lot of views... and I also have the Korean Barbecue chips... so I'll be reviewing those too.

8) Crazy Ex Girlfriend and Jane The Virgin- I bingewatched these... maybe at the end of february... after the X Files ended I started watching these and I love these shows. I'm really happy the CW renewed all of its shows because I really like them all. I need to watch all of Arrow and Supernatural and The Flash... but yeah. These are great. Crazy Ex Girlfriend has been especially good lately too. I love Musicals (See above) and this one is just really funny. It also makes me kind of want to watch Ally McBeal because this was described as a cross between Flight of The Conchords and Ally McBeal... lol. Anyway these are great. I've been listening to the soundtrack a lot too!

Also trying to explain these to your grandparents is a fun game.

9) Apple Music- I've been listening to all these music things on Apple Music because its the best. I like just having all the music and I can delete things when I get bored and keep what I like... it makes sense for me. Its great.

Sooo... that's everything. Hope you guys like this. If you don't, thats cool.... but no.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
