Scribbles About Food: Dove Chocolate Cream and Coconut Cream Eggs (and a random story)

So my mom and I were a little confused about the Dove Chocolate Cream Eggs. My mom didn't know what the filling was, she just thought the Chocolate part was because they are chocolate eggs. She thought the Cream would be coconut... I said probably not coconut because it would have to say its coconut for allergy reasons.

So she was disappointed when she bit into it and it was just a chocolate cream egg. And then she realized "Ohhh Chocolate Cream Eggs." And it took me until just now to realize it practically... lol. I'm smart but I've been slow with things lately:

Side Story: I saw the Oscars and when Brie Larson thanked her boyfriend Alex Greenwald, I was like "that name sounds familiar." And then I read an article about how you knew Alex Greenwald. It mentioned that he was in the movie Donnie Darko as the guy that bullied Donnie Darko and I was like "Ohhh the guy from Phantom Planet was in that movie as the guy that bullied Donnie Darko. They must have been in it together." And then it said "Alex Greenwald was also in the band Phantom Planet." And it still took me a second to decipher that he was the only bully and that they were all the same person... it was quite the brain fart... which doesn't often happen to me. Lol.

Anyway... back to the review. I actually really like the Chocolate Cream Eggs! Dove used to have truffle easter eggs that had a very creamy chocolate center, and then they reduced the size of them... didn't reduce the price... and then they just stopped making them all together... but these are really similar to those. And they're a little creamier so its extra good in my opinion... and its really chocolatey, melts in your mouth... totally delicious definitely recommend these. Wayyy better than Cool Ranch Doritos.

Dove Chocolate is really nice and creamy to begin with... so with the cream center in the eggs its especially good!

And the Coconut Cream Eggs are just as good too! The coconut isn't overwhelmingly coconuty, but you can taste it. Its also ground in there pretty finely... so its not like you're getting too much coconut in one bite. I know no one feels neutral about coconut, you either love it or you hate it. I love it and I think most people I know love it... but lots of people hate it and thats fine. Definitely pass on these if you hate them... but if you like coconut I think you'll like it a lot. The Center is super super nice and creamy and the coconut is subtle, but still quite coconutty and delicious. Also better than Cool Ranch Doritos.

So yes... these are some of the best easter candy you can buy... I love them. Really yummy and good! Total win!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
