Weekly Wrap Up: 3/20/16

Favorites
Big Love- This has been mentioned before... but season 2 is wayyy better than season 1. Season 1 wasn't bad... but there were a lot of storylines they just kind of gave up on and never mentioned again. Season 2 hasn't been like that and I'm almost done with it.

Instagram- I've been having some fun with Instagram! I created another account called Shannonsreviews and I like it a lot.

Coach Outlets- I really like the Coach Outlets. They had 50% off this week. I may or may not have gotten 2 bags in 2 days... lol.

Highlights
Sunday and Tuesday I went to the fancy mall. Friday and Saturday I got coach bags at the outlets... oops.

Noteworthy Snacks
I tried an Irish Cream Nut Chiller from Gloria Jeans and I really liked it!

I tried the Superman Cereal and it was awesome! I may do another scribbles about food... if I haven't already. There are so many Scribbles About Food this month its not even funny... I'm sorry lol.

I had a frog cupcake from The Macaroon Shop. They have these every St. Patrick's day and they are awesome and adorable!

And I had Caramel Drizzle K Cups for the first time in a long time... that's pretty awesome. And speaking of coffee, the Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte... which I haven't had in a very long time and that was really good!

I had a lot of great food at the Redbank Wedding Walk... which I'll get to sometime in a Bridesmaid Diaries.

And I had Mac and Cheese. Nothin like Mac and Cheese.

TV Highlights
Anyone else laugh hysterically at the end of How To Get Away With Murder? Wes is so wrong place, wrong time. I thought it ended pretty well... this season SUCKED!

I watched the repeat of Crazy Ex Girlfriend. I love that episode.

Greys Anatomy and Scandal I didn't watch too much... but yeah. They were on.

And Big Love, which has gotten better in Season 2.

News

There were rumors of a disappearance of fitness instructor and TV Personality Richard Simmons because he has not been seen publicly since his appearance at a parade 3 years ago, I believe it was said and he just spoke out and said he is okay. He did not gain weight, which was one rumor. He recently had knee surgery and hasn't been leaving his house much since then. He's been recovering. If you want to hear a funny story that may make you sympathize with Richard Simmons more... or less... listen to this little excerpt from the Skalar Brothers Comedy Special "What Are We Talking About" right here. Or just watch the full thing on Netflix... I think I reviewed it years ago and its really good.

World Events
This Monday was Pi Day. 3.14... whig is the first 3 digits in Pi.

Miami had a latinamerican festival it looks like on snapchat? It said one of the biggest latinamerican festivals in the world. It looked like a lot of fun, there was a lot of music and dancing... and it was just cool.

Spring Break was this week.

I didn't watch many snap stories this week... so idk what happened. Lol.

Thoughts
Edit: Forgot to post thoughts! I know I had a good one this week... I forget... I've had a big day. I'll remember it eventually...

Okay I remembered! I read the comments on just regular articles this week... and everyone is so negative in them. And you know what... if they wrote the article on the opposite perspective... people would be angry about that too.

If I said Red was the best color people would be like "woah... that's a bold statement, Shannon. You can't say Red is the best color. What about green? Or Blue, or purple?" And then if I said Purple was the best people would be like "wow, could you pick more of a generic color than purple? Let me get you some pumpkin spice for your uggs, basic bitch!" And if I was like "Okay blue?" People would be like "meh. Everyone's favorite color is blue. Give us something new... something less boring."

So... no one will ever be happy. Just be you, and if people don't like them... at least you like yourself. And even if you don't like yourself... you should. You're cool.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
