The Daily Something

I tried something new last night and I'm really excited to share it with everyone! My Boyfriend and I had a giftcard to the Olive Garden Restaurant family... and we had already used most of it on Bahama Breeze- which was a really good, fun restaurant- and this time we decided to try Longhorn because I had never been there and we kinda wanted to try something new. First off they bring you bread... which I always like in a restaurant. I feel like the bread was nothing really to write home about- but it was good and presented nicely on a little cutting board. The appetizer however was great! We got the Cowboy Queso- which was basically a cheeseburger dip served with a really yummy garlic flatbread. We were kind of amazed at the fact that the dip really did taste just like a cheeseburger. I feel like I want that recipe! The flatbread was the best part. It was super soft and yet still kind of crispy and flavorful. The dip didn't really stay that warm... but the flatbread did...

Alright so I'm kind of changing my "Scribbles About Food" because I don't really want this to be a review if it's from a local restaurant... I think if I try something from a big chain I'll still give it a review... but idk if I'm the most qualified person to review food... but I do like to review things... so I'm going to review some things other than just movies and TV... lol. Anyway this a restaurant my dad found out about. My dad does the actual research before going out so he looks up the quality of the meat and stuff so that he knows this isn't just something we could make at home. He's good at finding stuff. Lol. So I don't actually know this stuff... but my dad knows what's up and when we went here the first time... we loved it and knew we had to go again. So last time we went towards the end of May for my parent's anniversary. This time we went for my Mom's birthday... I know I'm like third-wheeling my parent'...

So... this might seem like a big deal... but I haven't eaten steak in a really long time. My parents LOVE steak and they gave it to me so often as a kid I just got tired of it... and I've only had it a few times in the past... 15 years maybe? I've had Chicken fried steak- which is really good. My dad got a hibachi recently and made hibachi steak that I liked. My friend's fiance made some steak kabobs recently also... and I liked that... so I just kind of wanted to venture into eating steak again because I'm getting a little tired of chicken. And there's a really good restaurant in Asbury called Moonstruck... and I thought that would be a good time to try some. My parents really love their steak- I love their food and I've realized this is a good place to try new things... so I got it... and I'll review the appetizer and dessert I had also!
