The Daily Something

Okay, so I'm finally caught up on Grace and Frankie after several seasons! All it took was a global pandemic! Just kidding- that isn't funny! After Season 3 though... I wasn't really sure about the series. I didn't think it was as good as it used to be... but the show is always funny and it got a lot better very quickly after that season!  an I think Season 6 was my favorite- that is the most recent season! Grace is newly married to Nick, who is much younger than she is and she's feeling a little insecure because of her recent knee surgery- she isn't able to do the things that she used to do. She ends up getting stuck on the toilet and she has to call Frankie to help her get up! This gives Frankie the idea for The Rise Up- a toilet designed to help older people or people that had surgery get off of the toilet. They even go on Shark Tank to pitch the idea!  The season also ends in the funniest way... and I don't really want to spoil it- but... they haven'...

So I saw this in my suggested videos to watch after I finished Girlboss and I thought "Ehhh... why not!" So I watched it... and it's an okay show. Not every storyline really got me... I couldn't relate to most of them actually but some were kind of good and relatable and some were a little boring to me... this could be different for everyone... but it's just sort of one of those things... I kind of think this is a hidden gem of Netflix. I'm going to link  this blog post  that criticizes the show for playing into rape culture... I see this bloggers point of view... I think that was maybe my initial response to the particular scenes mentioned in the episode... but I don't know that I really agree about those scenes in particular... Maybe this is something that needs more talking about... but I don't think I'm the person to discuss it here. I don't know where to begin that discussion... but it's a valid point and something I wish the filmma...

Breaking this into 2 parts... one after I've just watched the Pilot and a little bit of Episode 2... and One once I've finished the series because I have some Predictions about what's going to happen after the pilot... so yeah. There will be some spoilers in here. After The Pilot  I really liked this. I can tell this is going to be kind of a slower season though... and that is kind of what I expected. I think the full trailer gave a little bit too much information. We know that she's going to kill bad people and eat them from the trailer... but I think it takes the characters a while to figure it out... so that's what I think is making it a little slower. I think the characters are great... I like that there really aren't too many characters in the first episode at least. It just kind of works well for the show in my opinion. I love Drew Barrymore, so I'm always happy to watch her in something. It's funny that she's a vegan and she's playing...
