My Thoughts on Peter Weber's Season of The Bachelor

So- it's been a while since this has been on- but since I didn't really have time to do my Bachelor Buzz Posts I still wanted to give you guys my final thoughts on it. Overall do I think Pete wanted to get married? No. I think he wanted to get paid and laid to be perfectly honest. Sorry for being crass- but I think he only really paid attention to the girls that he wanted to get with and I think that's why Victoria F got so far in the show. She kept yelling at him on ALL of their dates- plus he had heard that she broke up marriages so... he probably shouldn't have picked her if he really wanted a relationship from her... which I don't think he really did. There were SO MANY girls that he wasn't giving one on ones to and so many that got second one on ones... and I would have been really annoyed if I was one of the girls on his season. I do think Pete seemed happiest with Madison and I was really rooting for her because I think he did seem happy. She was his ...

Bachelor Nation Buzz

Alright... so from the first episode of The Bachelor... I'm not sure how I feel. Not sure if I'll actually watch every episode or post about it here... but so far I have some thoughts. I don't have a lot to say... but it's a season. Pete kissed A LOT of the girls! And it was a little intense- and I know he had fun in the windmill with Hannah and everything... but he didn't really move his mouth a lot when he kissed these girls and... I don't know about him lol. Not someone I would want to make out with. Also I thought Hannah Ann Sluss was really cute when I first saw her and I kind of think she'll end up getting the final rose... but she "Stole Pete for a few seconds" 3 TIMES! After she had already made out with him! I don't really like that! I read some of the rumor sites so this might be a slight spoiler but I think rumor has it Victoria F has done some questionable things... she is probably the villain of the season. When she tried to ...

Bachelor Nation Buzz: Battle of the Pageant Queens!

Alright! This week on The Bachelor we had a Pirate Competition, a really cute one on one date- and a test of strength. At the end of the night Catherine (the villain of episode 1... who I was just starting to like), Bri (Miss Fake Australia), Caitlin and Nina all went home. So first off- the Pirate Date. Odd choice for a date... this is a venue somewhat like Medieval Times... it kind of loosened everyone up and it was a pretty fun way for Colton to get to know the ladies. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun with it. Tracy and Caelynn faced off in a Pirate Battle, which Caelynn won and shared a very awkward kiss with Colton afterwards. Colton and Caelynn have kissed before and it wasn't awkward... so I'm surprised that it was so awkward. Maybe it was just unexpected and with an audience or something... but it was weird. They even commented on how weird it was when they were hanging out in the antique shop. Anyway while they were playing the Pirate games- we did get a pretty...

It List: January 2019

I think one of my  goals for this year is to actually improve this blog and actually take some more time writing my posts... that's partially why I haven't been writing "daily" as much either because I really haven't been feeling great and I've just been super tired to write... but this isn't an excuse intro! I'll try to get back on track soon! I just wanted to kind of say I might bring back some of my old favorite posts and the It List is definitely one I'm bringing back! This is all of the stuff I can't get enough of this month and I can't wait to share them with you guys! 1) Sabrina The Teenage Witch- I was really excited when Netflix announced The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina- and I LOVED that show- but it did have me longing for my childhood favorite- the much more lighthearted Melissa Joan Hart Sabrina. One day I was just looking at DVDs at Target- and I saw that they had the complete series on DVD... and I was like "SOLD!...

The Proposal Review

Yep... that was just about as bad as I thought it was. Bye! -Shannon Okay but seriously... this show is kind of a big problem that I think we have right now. And maybe it's partially because I saw an episode where the men judged the women... but I don't really think it's going to get better or different... Most of the women weren't like real working class women... they had kind of unique jobs... and I don't mean to insult them at all... but there aren't really many teachers or doctors or anything... and those women don't get to the top rounds... and I don't want to insult these women for their jobs. I know that doctors probably don't have time for these silly dating shows and Life Coaches and Surf Instructors probably have more time to do these things- and it probably helps them more whereas a teacher or someone might get in trouble for being too racy during a season or something. And they have things like a swimsuit competition... I googl...

My Sort of Review of The Bachelor and The Bachelor Winter Games

Alright... so I'm not really a fan of the Bachelor franchise. I did watch Trista's season of The Bachelorette... which was the first one ever- I know CRAZY... and since then I'm sort of a casual fan of the show... slowly liking it better and better... so I just thought I'd do a little recap and review of things I like about it... and what gets me hooked. I think one thing that I really like about the show is the travel aspect of it... It's changed so much that now it's like they travel somewhere new all the time and you get to see the romantic aspects of the different areas that they travel too. It's kind of fun to see what they're doing... and I thought that was especially cool this episode. I've never been to Peru... but it looked really beautiful from what they showed of it... and I don't know. It was super pretty! I also go in knowing that these things aren't really real. It's staged and scripted to make it as entertaining as poss...

Scribbles About TV: UnREAL

So, I don't watch Lifetime very often... so I didn't even hear about this show or what it was about or anything. But I saw on Entertainment Weekly, or Vulture or TVLine or something saying that there was a new drama about a dating reality show. This is a concept that always intrigues me. I've also started watching The Bachelorette recently... and I know a little bit about the Scripted Television industry... and I know Reality Shows are just as scripted as everything else. I can kind of tell there's a lot of drama behind the scenes to create this drama... so this all makes sense to me. I was kind of on board when I saw Constance Zimmer on it. She's super talented and doesn't really tend to stay on shows that last a long time... but she can do funny, she can do mean... she can be serious... she is really talented and I think this role is the role for her because she is kind of the villain and the comic relief of the show. The show is pretty dark, so it needs som...

This Week in Sexism: Rebel Wilson and Maggie Gyllenhall's Age + The Bachelorette

So... I was going to do a Scribbles About News, and then I was going to do a feminist rant... but because all the news is so sexist... I thought lets combine them! And here is my 80 cents on the topics at hand... I'm going to start out with Rebel Wilson because thats kind of a big thing for the week. So Rebel Wilson has been under fire this week saying that she really is not 26 and her name is not Rebel Wilson at all. Is this a big deal? I don't really care if Rebel Wilson is 26, 35, or 100... she's still funny as hell and can actually sing. She responded to this on twitter saying that she is really a 100 year old Merman and that her real name is Fat Patricia. She's super funny for a 35 year old! Lol. Of corse women can be funny at any age ever. And it shouldn't matter what her age is... it should be focused on her talent, not age, looks, weight or anything of the like. Rebel Wilson is beautiful and even if she looks 35, she still looks 26 to me. She looks like ...
