My Sort of Review of The Bachelor and The Bachelor Winter Games

Alright... so I'm not really a fan of the Bachelor franchise. I did watch Trista's season of The Bachelorette... which was the first one ever- I know CRAZY... and since then I'm sort of a casual fan of the show... slowly liking it better and better... so I just thought I'd do a little recap and review of things I like about it... and what gets me hooked.

I think one thing that I really like about the show is the travel aspect of it... It's changed so much that now it's like they travel somewhere new all the time and you get to see the romantic aspects of the different areas that they travel too. It's kind of fun to see what they're doing... and I thought that was especially cool this episode. I've never been to Peru... but it looked really beautiful from what they showed of it... and I don't know. It was super pretty!

I also go in knowing that these things aren't really real. It's staged and scripted to make it as entertaining as possible. It's dramatic and I kind of like that. I know that Becca's ex boyfriend probably didn't really go all the way to Peru on his own... I'm sure there was some sort of something with the producers of the show. I know that Nick Viall wasn't like a surprise on Katilyn Bristowe's season... I know they had it planned that he would be on and they probably made sure that he would make it to the end so that he could have his own season of The Bachelor... I understand these things. Sorry to like ruin the magic of it all... but I know these things have to have some sort of stage to them.

And I don't think that really ruins the magic because it is still really fun to watch and it just makes me wonder all that goes into it... I feel like I'd like to work on a show like that... it would be hard but just interesting.

What I liked so much about the Winter Games was that it was a little bit more laid back than the regular show. Since not everyone is competing for the same person, people are just genuinely looking for who they click with and who they connect with and I think it's kind of amazing to see who ended up together in it. And I feel like there are some real, lasting relationships made here. Everyone that was on the show said that Courtney and Lilly were perfect together and they just really loved each other. It was sad to see that Luke just totally ignored Stassi after their time together... He was a real jerk about it too. I know it's international and it's hard to keep a relationship... but they didn't even try and it sounded like she really wanted too.

I also kind of like seeing what other people think about The Bachelor. I like watching Lisa Schwartz's show "Will You Accept This Ride?" Mostly because I love Lisa- but it's also just fun to see her actually interview these people and talk to them... you can see who seems more down to earth and genuine vs... who seems a little fake. So far no one on Lisa's show has seemed too fake... but I think they were definitely faking some drama for the cameras on the show itself.

I think that is everything I like about these shows. I don't love the idea of people falling in love with multiple people at once... I don't love the idea of all these skinny, rich people on the show and they don't show many interracial couples... and there are definitely issues with the show as a whole that I don't like... but this is just kind of what I got and why I'm a casual fan of it. I usually don't watch a full episode... but I do like being a casual fan.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
