Hump Day Update 2/7/18

What I'm Watching 

 At the moment I'm watching Inside Out... I'm about to watch 9-1-1 though because that's new tonight and they're doing a Valentines Day Episode.

I saw a theory that The Good Place and Parks and Rec took place in the same universe... and so I'm watching both shows again and seeing what happens! I liked both of the pilots... but it's kind of funny how much each show changes from the start. And it's cool to re-watch The Good Place knowing what happens.

I watched 2 episodes of Black Mirror and that was good... I'll probably be done with the series soon.

I watched This Is Us and the Super Bowl obviously... both of those I've covered on this blog. I didn't watch yesterday's episode of This Is Us... and I'm still behind on The X Files.

Trying to watch some more youtube... I have a HUGE watch Later playlist... I'm going to watch a bunch!

 News 

 Here is an article about the first African American Woman to become an FDNY Deputy Chief. 

 Here  is an article about puppies that were in the puppy bowl after being rescued from Puerto Rico 

 There was also a sad news story about a young boy that died after falling in the ice trying to save his friend. He did save that friend- so he died a hero... which is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

 Food and Drink 
Drinking the Cherry Mocha from Starbucks right now... it's amazing and I love it.

Pizza Rolls... omg! Amazing!

 Favorites 

 The Arrested Development Soundtrack. It's called At Long Last- Music and Songs from Arrested Development and it is by David Schwartz who also does the music for The Good Place... which is COMPLETELY different and amazing!

And I've been reading a lot. I read a book called "The Princess Saves Herself in This One" by Amanda Lovelace... it's a poetry book but there's a kind of uplifting story in there too... so I really loved that actually. I've also been reading Mr. Kate's Book "A Hot Glue Gun Mess" which is a lot of fun. She has some good stories.

Other Stuff 

My dog is on my lap right now and he's nice and warm... but I need to go to the bathroom.

And I just went to the bathroom and now 9-1-1 is back on and I have my puppy on my lap and I have my coffee.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Throwback Thursday: Crazy Ex Girlfriend Season 1

One of my favorite shows is the very underrated Crazy Ex Girlfriend... and when I say underrated I mean the ratings are bad... I'm pretty sure there is a lot of critical hype that is very real and worthy of that sort of hype... I honestly didn't watch it live at all this year until the finale... it was all in my DVR... I had lost a little bit of interest to be honest after the first episode... but I bingewatched it all in one day pretty much and it was great... but that's season 2... let's go back to Season 1. If you're only familiar with Season 2... Season 1 isn't quite as dark. It's definitely more silly than Season 2. It isn't like the darkness and the drama isn't there, it just isn't quite as dark. I have a feeling the show is getting progressively darker, and the Season 2 finale was definitely the darkest so far. The show is meant to be a different spin on a Rom-Com. The girl moves across the country for a guy that has a girlfriend alrea...
