Scribbles About Music: Taylor Swift Ready For It

So... I feel like this is slowly becoming a Taylor Swift blog... Lol... It probably isn't... but she just dropped a new single and... now I'm interested in this album... so I'm reviewing it here.

PS- Is she dropping a single every week now? Or every other week?  I'll check back on that and maybe I'll review some together... I really want to give fair time to all the new tv shows and even the returning ones coming this month and the next few months really... so yeah!

Anyhoo- back to the song... it's kind of a rap song for taylor... and it's kind of sexy- kind of a fantasy type of thing... It reminded me of Wildest Dreams- which is what it's being compared to. I also thought that maybe the rapping thing was maybe a jab at Kanye... because Kanye is a rapper... I really thought that this whole song was about Kanye and that Taylor was kind of playing the character he portrayed her as in his song "Famous" because she mentions that she was a "robber" and I thought maybe that was kind of a take on him Robbing her VMA moment and her "robbing" Beyonce of the VMA for Single Ladies... it seems that the song is actually about her current boyfriend. And I just read a whole theory on that because I'm the type of person that reads Taylor Swift fan theories now... anyway yeah- it seems to be about her recently public boyfriend Joe Alwyn... who played a killer in a movie (hence the "I knew he was a killer" lyric.) And they're taking it slow hence the "Are you ready for it" part. He needs to be ready for the public because if Taylor's dating him... the media and her fans are also dating him... wait is that true? Did I technically date Tom Hiddleston then... because Yasss!!! Lol.

Anyway... there's also references to Jail and the article I read said that maybe the Birdcage Taylor is "Ready For It" Taylor... since there's a whole theory that states each of the Taylor's at the end of the video are a Taylor in a song... I'm not sure who she is at the end of the video... I liked the birdcage part of the video because I figured it was like she felt like a canary that everyone just wants to hear sing and doesn't care about her own personal heartbreak or tragedy... idk. Taylor is pretty clever.

I guess I should actually say what I think about the song... I really liked it! I think its fun that she has a rap song because I think she's trying to jab Kanye in some way... and I just thought it was catchy, sexy... seemed a little angry and just very Taylor.

Taylor also loves referencing herself in songs... which is cool. Idk... I want Taylor Swift to date Pete Wentz... but like back when he was dating Ashlee Simpson... I wish it was that Pete Wentz dating this Taylor Swift. I don't think it will ever happen that they date in real life... but I want them to date and break up because then we get a Taylor Swift CD and an angry Fall Out Boy cd and that's just the dream.... lol. I think Taylor is only a year or 2 older than me... so when Pete Wentz was the age I wanted them to date she probably would have been too young and he should have been dating me instead obvs... but it still would have been cool.

ANYWAY back to my review of the song... I like it better than Look What You Made Me Do... I'm not the biggest fan of LWYMMD... before the video came out I reviewed it as "The Lego Movie Version of a Taylor Swift Song" because it seemed like a parody... and it kind of is I guess? Lol. It's pretty good though! But this song is better.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
