Female Singers and Why I Like Them

I don't know what it is, but lately I've been really REALLY loving female singers. When I was in high school I was more into bands like Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, and Panic At The Disco... And really the only two female singers I liked back then were Lady Gaga and Katy Perry... Who are still my favorites... But there are so many more that I like. Ohhh and Pink. I've been a big fan of Pink for a really long time.

So while I love my favorite male bands and everything... There is something so empowering to me about listening to music from all female singers. If I buy one cd from a female artist, I will feel the need to get all of their CDs after that. My favorite female singers right now are Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lorde, Taylor Swift and I'm starting to really like Hayley Williams/Paramore. Ohh and I don't have their CDs, but Florence and the machine and Lana Del Rae are really quite good too. And I really want to get more into BeyoncĂ©... Maybe even Rihanna. I've never been a huge fan of Rihanna as a singer, but I love her friendship with Katy Perry and her style. And her performance on last years VS fashion show was AMAZING!

And like I said I like buying all of their albums because I feel like female artists are very personal with their music and I feel like I know them personally and like we've become friends through their albums. Especially because, like with Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, they have very public relationships and lives and I was really upset when Katy Perry and Russell Brand broke up because you can tell how much she loved him through her music and interviews and I think she has a lot of love to give and I think she needs to be with someone that deserves her love. I really hope John Mayer treats her well... I don't think he's been good for girls he's dated in the past... But I think he'll be good to Katy.

I don't quite like Taylor Swift as much as a person since she insulted Tina and Amy... But I still think
she's talented and fabulous and I want her to find happiness too and I want to be on that journey with her through her music.  Also she is beautiful and when so many women are bad examples for their
younger fans, I think she's pretty good for her younger fans... You know other than insulting Tina and Amy. Lol.

And I really want to see all of these people perform live. I wish there was like a Lillith Fair but with Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Lorde, Taylor Swift, BeyoncĂ©, Pink, Nikki Minaj, Rihanna, Kesha (why not? I'm not a huge fan but why not), Adele, Paramore, Selena Gomez, and you know what let's throw Miley Cyrus in there too. I don't love her oversexualized behavior, but I do think Wrecking Ball is a really powerful song. They could call it  "Divafair" or something. I know this will never happen because I don't think any of the fans of these people get along, but I just really like female pop singers and I think this would be amazing. I've seen Pink and Paramore live before and they are both great performers.

Anyhoo, that is it. Just what I've been liking lately and I thought other people would like to know. This concert would be wayyy too awesome lol.

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
