Man Crush Monday- Andy Samberg

Helllooooooo everybody! (yep I said that like Mrs. Doubtfire... dont judge.

I've mentioned him before, I will mention it again... Andy Samberg is KILLIN IT this year. You know when people say things like "2014 is gonna be my year" well chances are it is not. Why? Because this year belongs to Andy friggin Samberg.

Okay that intro may have been just a tad overdramatic, but... I mean come on it is this man's year! He just got married, he won a golden globe, he's on the funniest new show this year that just had a great episode after the superbowl. This dude is awesome, and I have a feeling he will just get more and more awesome over time.

And it's funny because other than The Lonely Island and Hot Rod, I never thought Andy Samberg was all that funny. I didn't think he was great on any other SNL sketches because I didn't think he was that great of an actor, and he's been in some movies that looked pretty bad. That's my boy looked really awful... although I guess that isn't his fault at all- the concept for the movie just sounded wayyy too unbelievable and weird. But he has proven himself to be wayyyy more funny over time... which is good! You don't want to start out super funny and just get less funny over time. You want to start out really funny and get even more funny.

I really like The Lonely Island,  my favorite song is one that I don't even know if they did on the show. It's on their first cd Incredibad and its called Dream Girl and Norah Jones sings in it... and its just a song about his "dream girl" with her peculiar behaviors that he finds adorable... and her addiction to chex mix. This will always make me laugh. And I mean Norah friggin Jones sings in it too. That's how you know it's good. lol.

Hot Rod is another really funny but really stupid movie that I don't think I'll ever get tired of. I remember the first time I saw it I thought it was funny... then like the second or third time I was like "why did Isla Fisher agree to do this movie" and then I was like "yeah this movie is amazing and that's why. I think one of the best parts that I just noticed is when he's conjuring his spirit animals and he gets 5 totally ridiculous animals with really specific breeds. It's just really funny

And yeah... he's just a super funny guy. I think at this point, I've already talked about Brooklyn 99 enough that you should realize it would be crazy of you not to watch it... so watch it right now. Stop whatever you are doing... unless you're saving a person's life or something that is probably more important... but after you and that person should go on hulu and watch Brooklyn 99 because it's super funny.

Byeeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
