Stuff that Happened this Week (2/16-2/23)

1) Charlie Sheen engaged to porn star Brett Rossi- This is Charlie Sheen's 4th marriage... but I guess 4th times the charm right? Nope probably not. Hasn't he been married to 2 other porn stars before? He's been married to at least one other porn star. I guess it's not that shocking that Charlie Sheen's getting married to a porn star. It's not like he'd be getting married to like Katie Couric or anything right? That'd be weird...

2) Baby Krasinski Welcomed into the World- This is happy news! Emily Blunt gave birth to a baby girl named Hazel. And of corse Emily Blunt is married to John Krasinski otherwise known as Jim Halpert from The Office so yayyy! Congratulations to them both and Hazel has some pretty awesome parents!

3) Pete Wentz and Megan Camper expecting a baby- Awww yayyy! I feel like this week is very "marriage and babies" themed. I love Fall Out Boy, Megan Camper is adorable and I think they're great together. Pete Wentz has a son named Bronx who's mother is Ashlee Simpson... and is ADORABLE!

4) Leighton Meester and Adam Brody got married in secret ceremony- see all adorable news about weddings and babies and attractive people and Charlie Sheen. I have a huge crush on Adam Brody and Leighton Meester is pretty adorable as well. Did I mention how adorable Adam Brody is? Because he's frickin adorable!

5) Mom in Utah buys all offensive t shirts from a Pac-Sun Store- A mom in Utah was shopping with her son at a Pac Sun and she sees a bunch of t shirts with women in their underwear and she buys all the inappropriate t-shirts from the store. I like the message this woman is trying to send, they were very sexualized t shirts and it seemed like the girls on the t shirts were very young and it was targeted to young boys. I would absolutely be offended if I saw something like that as well and I would complain to the store also.

She says that she's going to return all the shirts within the 60 day return policy. As someone that works at a store that would piss me off lol. She bought $500 worth of t shirts to make a statement against the store itself and then she returns them to get her money back. And if she doesn't meet the deadline of the return policy that sucks for her and Pac Sun. I totally agree with what she's doing but I would not like to wait on her.

6) Pushing Daisies Might Become a Broadway Musical- This would be amazing. The musical would be based off of the show Pushing Daisies about a pie maker who can bring the dead back to life solves crimes by asking dead bodies how they died. He also brought his childhood sweetheart Charlotte back to life, who assisted him in both the Pie Shop and in his crime solving.

Although the show was incredibly beautiful (I had just gotten an HD tv when this show first aired... and this show is definitely worth watching in HD.) and critically acclaimed, it got cancelled because of low ratings. I feel like if the show had another season, there would have been a musical episode because it really does have all the makings for a great musical. And also Kristin Chenowith was in it, so hopefully she will reprise her role as Olive Snook.

Ohhh okay I just read the article and they want to make the musical centered around Chenowith's character... that I don't like. I mean the show is about a man that brings dead people back to life and they're going to focus the musical on the blonde girl that isn't even the girlfriend? That's sooo much less interesting.

7) Space Jam 2- Apparently they are making a Space Jam 2 with Lebron James... I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I really liked Space Jam as a kid, mostly because they had cool McDonald's toys. I feel like I wouldn't like it at all if I watched it today... mostly because it's cartoons mixed with actors which is really weird and not my favorite thing. Also I've seen Looney Tunes recently and honestly it's a little effed up. I don't exactly remember what exactly about it, but I felt it was kind of inappropriate and offensive. Actually I think it was something to do with Lola Bunny, my FAVORITE character in this movie. In the original Space Jam, Lola was smart, sassy and all around awesome. In the  Looney Tunes that I saw a couple years ago on Cartoon Network, she was this super annoying clingy girl that Bugs was not into. I found that kind of sexist and just weird for a children's show. A lot has changed since 1996... so I don't think this movie can work.

And I don't know much about basketball... but there's no other Jordan. It's just offensive to even try. Michael Jordan is the only basketball player, that is all that matters. Lol.

8) Casting News- So lots of things were cast and announced this week, so I thought I would lump them all in here. Jada Pinkett Smith was cast as Fish Mooney in the Gotham prequel. That's pretty cool. I forget whether she works for The Penguin or if she is The Penguin's boss... but she knows The Penguin. I thought I heard this characters name in some sort of thing I saw about the comic books, but I think they said she is an original character... so idk what that really means.

In other superhero movie news they are rebooting Fantastic 4 and they cast the 4 themselves! Kate Mara is playing Sue Storm, Miles Teller is Reid Richards, Michael B. Jordan is Johnny storm and Jamie Bell is The THing. This is the third reboot of the movie, there was one in the 90s that was featured on arrested development and another with Jessica Alba I believe. I guess if you count the Tobias Funke musical, its technically the fourth reboot. I haven't seen any of the other ones... but I think Michael B. Jordan is the next big thing. If you watched The Wire, he played Wallace aka (SPOILERS) The saddest death in television history. So yeah. Good for Wallace!

There was another casting update and I forgot it... it may have been Space Jam 2... although I just saw on IMDB that Lebron James says he's not attached... so he'll probably go to some different city to make a different Space Jam... right he's the guy that got paid a bunch of money and then left his home town after everyone thinking he was going to stay? Idk. I don't know much about basketball, but How I Met Your Mother has made far too many jokes about this.

9) NBC To Revive Heroes with 13 episode mini series- This is interesting. I just watched the first episode of heroes and I didn't get into it... but maybe I would like it now. A lot of people said it was really good, and I forget why exactly I didn't like it. It might be because of Hayden Panitierre, but I think she was the one character I really liked... even though I really don't like her in real life. (for no reason really... so don't hate on this girl lol.) I think it was Ali Larter's character that for some reason I had a hard time watching. I think she had some sort of weird videochat porn job that I didn't want to see on this show... not quite sure why. It was definitely a weird show though, but one that I may try to watch again.

10) I deleted Temple Run From My Phone- Okay, this isn't exactly headline news, but since I did a blog on it, I figured I'd include it. I really thought Temple Run 2 was a fun game, and I downloaded temple run after and it stressed me out! I don't like the feeling of gorilla monsters trying to eat me while I run and sometimes catch on fire and die every few seconds... I don't want that life! So I deleted it... I think its for the best. It is a fun game I just couldn't get all that into it and I don't like getting eaten. It felt too terrifying. Lol.

Scribbles about TV: Jane The Virgin Review!

This I think is a surprise hit, so of corse I needed to watch it for myself to see! It's been getting a lot of critical buzz because it has been reviewed as "one of the best pilots of the season" and I also have been hearing a few critics saying that they don't think it will last because the word "virgin" is in the title... which is stupid. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin and if a show is good, its good and people should watch it... plus this did bring pretty high ratings for The CW so the critics that said that can suck it! Lol. Overall I really liked this show. One thing thats been bothering me a lot about the new Fall shows is that the characters aren't interesting enough. Especially the female characters. I thought that this showed a lot of really strong female characters that were interesting. This had a pretty big cast with A LOT of stuff going on for a pilot and most of the characters were female. That is a powerful thing to see on TV...

Top 10 Dating Tips/ Suggestions

So I've been in a relationship for about 2 and a half years... but before that I was single... for a very long time. And I was on dating apps for about a year or so before that... so here's what I learned from those apps. If you want more specific relationship advice I have from being in a relationship... that one might be a little harder but I guess I could do a blog on that too? Idk... I'm not an expert but I think I have some good tips.  Find an App That Works For You  I feel like not all apps work for everyone. I started on Bumble- and I like the app. I love the idea of girls taking the first move- but... I HATE making the first move apparently. So I would just match with a bunch of guys... and never really knew what to talk about. Plus I like having A LOT of info in my bio and Bumble just doesn't give enough space for me. I only went out with 1 guy from Bumble I think and it was bad.  So after that I tried Coffee Meets Bagel... which is terrible. Maybe depending on...

Some Pretty Funny Mini Stories That Happened Recently

Okay... so I feel like I have a few stories to tell... a lot of random funny things have happened this past week or so and I just feel like telling them... so yeah. Hope these are interesting. The Penny Pincher  This actually happened a while ago. And some backstory: My mom and I babysit my niece on weekdays and my niece is a toddler- who is pretty easygoing- and I don't really mind watching her on my own...but somedays it gets a little long and it's nice to have 2 people there. Anyway she had to go to the grocery store to get a tomato sauce... and we like a particular kind of tomato sauce... some woman actually took that tomato sauce out of her cart and put the generic version in her cart because "this woman knows tomato sauce and this stuff is the same." It really wasn't the same at all... the type I think had diced tomatoes and that isn't what we needed for the recipe or something like that. The tomatoes were different and it wouldn't have worked wi...
