Shannon Reviews Stuff: Late Night With Seth Meyer

Seth Meyer is a super funny and really talented and I was really really excited for him to start to host Late Night. I think he absolutely deserves it and I think I'm actually going to watch it consistently. I thought he did a really great job.

I think Seth Meyer is perfect to host something like this, because he was great on weekend update. And he wasn't only great by himself, but he was great with a co-host also which makes me really happy that Fred Armisan is the leader of the band. They work well together and they're a good combo. I think it's really great.

His monologue felt a lot like Weekend Update, which I really enjoyed. He's so good at delivering jokes and one liners that I think the opening monologues are always going to be super entertaining. If you can't stay up late enough to watch the whole show, or don't like the guests or something like that, I always think that catching the monologue is worth staying up for. It's just an entertaining way to watch the news basically.

And he did this really fun bit where he showed venn diagrams. There was like Guys that where fedora's and cool guys and in the middle it said Indiana Jones. It was funny he did quite a few of them and they were all super funny.

And his first guests were Amy Poehler and Joe Biden. Amy Poehler came out first and the two of them just seemed like good friends catching up. Amy was so happy for him and she was sooo soo proud. She seemed like a really big fan of Seth Meyer and she is and that was just really sweet. I'm so happy that she was the first guest. She was perfect. And Joe Biden was pretty awesome too. I mean he's no Amy Poehler... but I really like Joe Biden.

So yeah, definitely check out Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon. They're a super fun combo and will make your late nights great nights? No, okay I'll stop...

Byeeeeeee!
-A very very sleepy Shannon.

Scribbles about TV: Jane The Virgin Review!

This I think is a surprise hit, so of corse I needed to watch it for myself to see! It's been getting a lot of critical buzz because it has been reviewed as "one of the best pilots of the season" and I also have been hearing a few critics saying that they don't think it will last because the word "virgin" is in the title... which is stupid. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin and if a show is good, its good and people should watch it... plus this did bring pretty high ratings for The CW so the critics that said that can suck it! Lol. Overall I really liked this show. One thing thats been bothering me a lot about the new Fall shows is that the characters aren't interesting enough. Especially the female characters. I thought that this showed a lot of really strong female characters that were interesting. This had a pretty big cast with A LOT of stuff going on for a pilot and most of the characters were female. That is a powerful thing to see on TV...

Scribbles About TV: Jane The Virgin Finale Review (SPOILERS)

So.... Can we talk about all the twists because there were a lot! I didn't even see all of them coming! Alrighty we start out in typical Jane The Virgin Mode with Jane's choice between Raphael and Michael... I'd be okay with either but I think I'm team Michael. Jane has a weird moment with Raphael and thinks she's better off without him and just having him be the father of her child. She's also starting to have some feelings for Michael again. Then she almost has the baby on the bus and some woman helps her and gets the bus driver to take her to the hospital. Rogellio and Xo are in Vegas and they get drunk and can't remember what happens, but they make it just in time to see Jane deliver a baby boy. I knew it would be a boy! Lets pause on that a little and go to Michael and his ex partner/friend with benefits who comes back says she has a lead on Sin Rostro, gives him an address where the plastic surgeon is and by the time Michael gets there, he's de...

Top 10 Dating Tips/ Suggestions

So I've been in a relationship for about 2 and a half years... but before that I was single... for a very long time. And I was on dating apps for about a year or so before that... so here's what I learned from those apps. If you want more specific relationship advice I have from being in a relationship... that one might be a little harder but I guess I could do a blog on that too? Idk... I'm not an expert but I think I have some good tips.  Find an App That Works For You  I feel like not all apps work for everyone. I started on Bumble- and I like the app. I love the idea of girls taking the first move- but... I HATE making the first move apparently. So I would just match with a bunch of guys... and never really knew what to talk about. Plus I like having A LOT of info in my bio and Bumble just doesn't give enough space for me. I only went out with 1 guy from Bumble I think and it was bad.  So after that I tried Coffee Meets Bagel... which is terrible. Maybe depending on...
