Scribbles About TV: Thoughts on The X Files Revival (Spoilers)

I think I covered most of my thoughts on the X Files Revival when I did the review of the Premiere... but I figured I'd talk about the rest of the episodes and how I feel in general about the series and if I think they should do more or not... I'm sure they're going to do more... but I'll weigh in on it anyway. Lol.

So some of the episodes in this series I thought were some of the absolute best. My favorites were Mulder and Scully meet the Were-Monster and Babylon. The other episodes were really good too... but some of them I found trouble paying attention to... I feel like I lost interest somewhere in the middle with a lot of them... and I'll watch them again, but to me it was sort of needing to find its ground, and the timeline of the series made it a little harder.

I really liked the new characters on the show. I kind of wish there were some more episodes with them in it also. I loved Agent Miller and Agent Einstein, I thought they were great. And I love that Mulder had a thing for Einstein... he has a type... lol. I also loved Joel McHale... I was hoping he would end up being a bad guy... I feel like his character should have had a little more to it than it did. I was kind of disappointed in that.

I liked the development of Reyes. I don't remember that much of her seasons... I remember she was kind of a crazy hippy and now she works for the Cigarette Smoking Man. And I love that Scully looked her up right when she got back to the FBI. I felt that that was very true to Scully's character. And I thought it was true to Reyes that she would help Scully after everything.

And before I talk too much about the finale... I want to mention the other episodes. The Second Episode I thought was good... but I really didn't remember much of it right after. I don't think I could tell you what exactly it was about right now... but it was good. I'll definitely watch it again.

The third episode was the Darrin Morgan episode, it was probably one of the most brilliant episodes of the X files ever... its up there with Clyde Bruckman and Jose Chung in my opinion. Great episode and very true to Morgan. I loved it. It was a funny one. If you aren't into sci fi... you could watch this one and enjoy it.

Fourth Episode was Home Again... and again I wasn't paying the most attention to it... but I think it did a great job of not being 100% like the original Home... but you could see the similarities. The themes were very similar... and they were both very good. Home is one of my favorite episodes... so Home Again didn't quite live up to that to me... but I really appreciated how they made it differently and what they did. And Band Aid Nose Man was a very scary villain. It was very much a horror story and I liked it a lot!

Next was Babylon... and I really liked that episode. It was a very serious episode with such a scary beginning... and the scary parts were not the paranormal parts. It wasn't really an X File and Mulder and Scully weren't really investigating it... they were just helping people find a way to investigate it. And it was trying to tell a story about misunderstandings and it was just a very interesting episode. Another one I think was great, even compared to the original. And I loved that Scully said "No one down here but the FBI's most unwanted." Those were the first words spoken by Mulder on the show... and that's brilliant!

Now onto the finale... this was a very exciting finale with a really exciting ending. No one really knows whats going on with Scully's alien DNA... no one knows if everyone has alien DNA or what happened. And then the end... another cliffhanger! Cause that's how X Files Does things. Scully thinks the only way to help Mulder is to use Stem Cells from their son... and then there's a UFO... which everyone in the world seemingly saw. So when the X Files comes back... People will know of the existence of extraterrestrials... and thats kind of a big deal. Everyone will kind of know the truth... so thats different. I think that's what's going to happen at least. Of corse, there will still be some skeptics... but yeah.

So overall I just thought it was a great season. I do think they need to do more with it... hopefully with like 13 episodes maybe? Or 10... or a movie but I think I like the mini-series better than either of the movies... so I think it'll work better as another mini series... so that is something. I hope they do it kinda soon... lol I just want it as soon as possible. I'm sure it'll be next January though... and thats fine too. Idk if Fox has the Super Bowl next year... but that might be a good idea. Yes Fox does have the Super Bowl next year... so thats a good idea to debut after... I'm sure that's what they'll end up doing...

Hope you guys liked that! Let me know what you think about it... and that is that!

Byeee!

Scribbles About TV: Jane The Virgin Finale Review (SPOILERS)

So.... Can we talk about all the twists because there were a lot! I didn't even see all of them coming! Alrighty we start out in typical Jane The Virgin Mode with Jane's choice between Raphael and Michael... I'd be okay with either but I think I'm team Michael. Jane has a weird moment with Raphael and thinks she's better off without him and just having him be the father of her child. She's also starting to have some feelings for Michael again. Then she almost has the baby on the bus and some woman helps her and gets the bus driver to take her to the hospital. Rogellio and Xo are in Vegas and they get drunk and can't remember what happens, but they make it just in time to see Jane deliver a baby boy. I knew it would be a boy! Lets pause on that a little and go to Michael and his ex partner/friend with benefits who comes back says she has a lead on Sin Rostro, gives him an address where the plastic surgeon is and by the time Michael gets there, he's de

Disney Store Closing Haul

So if you read my post from yesterday- you know that I love The Disney Store, but it is unfortunately closing. I did pick up some things from the store that I thought I'd share with you guys! I did get a couple of t shirts. One is a Star Wars shirt, which is technically a men's shirt but I thought it looked really cool and I don't like that Disney doesn't carry the same things for men and for women. For the most part they look unisex to me and a lot of their men's stuff has characters I like better. Like the star wars shirt for women was grey with pink lettering and had no pictures, but the mens shirt had a really cool metallic silver logo on black clothing with pictures of all the new characters and Luke inside of the letters... much cooler! So I got that! The other shirt I got is really funny and it has Sleeping Beauty on it and it says "I Woke Up Like This." Which I really liked! Super cute and funny and my niece likes it when I wear shirts with c

Scribbles About Life: 3.10.16

Soooo... I don't really want to post about my day... but I don't really want to post anything else either. I started writing something about female characters in movies and TV... but I just didn't like what I was writing and... idk... I was a blog writing machine this week and now I feel defeated. I wrote a ton on Monday and Tuesday and now I just don't feel like doing a post today... but I want to write still... So I'll talk about things that I guess are on my mind lately... Idk. So I got this Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor... and for some reason... I'm addicted to the way that it smells. Idk why, it smells like cherry medicine... but I also sort of like it. Its more cherry than medicine... and I can't smell it on my lips... but Idk. I keep smelling it in the tube. I got some cute stuff from American Eagle yesterday too! I got a dress and a romper... I do not own any Rompers... except this one... but it looked good on me and it didn't make me look f
