Weekly Wrap Up! 2.19.17

Favorites

Joanne by Lady Gaga- I've been listening to this CD a lot this week and it's just really good... I'm really excited to see Lady Gaga in August... I love that this is kind of different than what she usually does... but she just does it so well. It is weird to listen to a full CD and where Alexander Hamilton doesn't die at the end... but it's still really good.

Jane The Virgin- I finished watching the First Season of the show... and I have a recap that I'll post on a Throwback Thursday sometime next month... but what a great show! I just really like it. I'm on the Second Season now... so yeah. I'm still all caught up with the current season... but re-watching is so fun.

Dr. Teals Relax and Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint Foaming Bath Soak- This smells amazing and it's a stress relief type of thing and it just smells nice and de-stresses and I just really like it. It's a relaxing and refreshing bubble bath!

A Dog's Purpose- I saw this movie with my friends a few nights ago... did not stop crying at all! Great, great, great movie... I might see it again with my mom... review coming tomorrow I believe.

News and World Events

George and Amal Clooney are having twins... which I announced... but they are having one of each! A boy and a girl!

I don't have much news for the week... sorry!

AHS season 7 will of corse be about the  2016 election. Would have definitely been a missed opportunity if they didn't do this!

TV Highlights

I think I'll actually do a full Scribbles About TV on Tuesday or Wednesday because I like doing re-caps and there were no awards shows this week... I'm excited to do the Oscars next week... but this is good too.

Noteworthy Snacks
Souvlaki from a diner nearby... think I'll do a scribbles about food for this place.

Music
Angel Down by Lady Gaga... the whole cd I mentioned is really good... but I'm going to shout out this particular song this week because it's really good!

Quotes

"If you dont have any shadows you're not in the light" - Lady Gaga

“I guess I had never bothered to consider that there might such a thing as a boy, but now that I had found one, I thought it was just about the most wonderful concept in the world. He smelled of mud and sugar and an animal I'd never scented before, and a faint meaty odor clung to his fingers, so I licked them.” - A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron

Thoughts
I spend a lot of time with my dog and (this week at least)  with my niece and after seeing A Dog's Purpose... it's kind of fun and easy to just imagine what they are thinking and trying to understand them. Dogs are more human than you'd think and babies are more grown up than you'd think.

Clickables
Syrian Refugees Find Home in Canada - This was a really inspiring story of a Syrian Refugee who now runs a sock store in Canada.

Girl Scout Honestly Gives Her Ranking of Cookies- This was just kind of funny and gives a look at a girl who values honesty!

I Steal Pets - You guys know I'm obsessed with Crazy Ex Girlfriend... this was a song Rachel Bloom did before Crazy Ex Girlfriend and it's really funny and dark and I like it a lot. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
