Scribbles About TV: Shows I Bingewatched in January

I thought this might be kind of fun... especially since I've been watching so many shows recently! I have reviews of all these shows already... I'm just kind of going to go over why I've been bingewatching them and stuff like that!

A Series of Unfortunate Events
This was the netflix show of the month... they've been pretty up to date with their releases and for the most part they have 1 or 2 shows every month. Still have to watch The OA... but I really liked this also! It was funny and even though it was for kids... I still thought it was very entertaining and funny. I've started reading the books again because of it.

I think I finished it so quickly because 1) nothing else was really on 2) You kind of have to watch 2 episodes at a time because 2 episodes finish 1 book 3) It is genuinely suspenseful 4) I really liked the 4th book and I was upset that they had never shown that in any movie or anything... so I feel like I've been waiting 13 years for that... and I think it was well worth the wait... even though that is the episode that I think I was most disappointed in. It was still good... I think I liked it a little bit more the 2nd time I watched it.

Yes I did watch the series a 2nd time... I do that sometimes with Netflix! It was really funny and well-done so I wanted to see it again!

Crazy Ex Girlfriend

This one I bingewatched for one because my DVR deleted a bunch of episodes and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to watch them... but I was able to recover them... so I watched one episode out of order and then went back and watched everything before then and then everything after... and it was good! I liked bingewatching it because it seems like something the CW should have a marathon of. There aren't that many episodes and it's good to watch them all at once because then you sort of get the long gags a little bit better. Maybe they have a different effect... but you get them better. For example there is one character named George and no one can remember his name... you can see his arc and why he gets so upset at everyone and what he does about it.

Plus I saw Rebecca's relationship with Paula fall apart and come back together, her relationship with Josh fall apart and get back together... and her friendship with Valencia and Heather, which was fun to watch too. It's a good one too watch all at once!

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee
I watch this a lot when I'm doing something else and I was cleaning yesterday... so I had this on in the background. Samantha Bee is really a journalist! Even though this is a comedy... she does really do her investigation and it is kind of scary some of the things that happening in the world.  She is really funny... but there are scary things happening and she doesn't hide that a lot of shit happens.

Jane The Virgin
I didn't have as many episodes of this to catch up on... but I love watching more than one of these at a time. I was kind of upset when I ran out of episodes because something really good had just happened... I mean not like it was something good, but it was suspenseful and I want to know what happens next! Ugh! So frustrating! Anyway yeah this season has been pretty good... I think I like it more than last season. I like how much Jane's novel is factoring into this... I think this show is just really east to bingewatch. I kind of want to wait and watch like 3 episodes at a time... but I think I'll just end up watching it live or semi-live next week because I want to know what happens!

Honorable Mention: The Good Place
There was only an episode or 2 that I missed and I didn't watch them all at once... but I still kind of wanted to mention this because I think this would also be a good one to marathon through. This is such a funny show and they just revealed a major twist and I thought it was funny... my mom saw it coming since the beginning... I only kind of saw it coming a few weeks ago. I want to marathon this when it comes out on DVD or Netflix... or even if it is just all on demand now. I think NBC has been killing it this year. I didn't watch them at all last year because there were no shows that interested me... but now they have this show, This Is Us, Superstore is pretty funny and I'm excited for the new one with Danny Pudi and I believe Vanessa Hudgens... it's about Super heroes and it just looks funny.

Alright that is everything. Hope you guys liked this... let me know what you've been watching or what I should watch next! I'm thinking The Santa Clarita Diet, I need to see season 3 of Bojack Horseman, Stranger Things I have to watch from the beginning, The OA, maybe Arrow and Jessica Jones? I tried watching both of those before... and I liked them but they're very heavy.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
