It List! February 2017

1) Crazy Ex Girlfriend- I bingewatched the second season from my tivo in about a day... and it was really good! I think the first season was a little funnier... but I liked the second season so much that I actually went back and watched the first season again and now I'm watching season 2 again... even though I just watched it all... the CW is an awesome network to watch on netflix... highly recommend.

2) Jane The Virgin- Jane the Virgin is a very quick show... storylines happen and they're very dramatic and none of them ever really get solved but it's all very quick because it is a telenovela and it does follow that style... I'm guessing at least. American Soap Opera's are a lot slower than this... but this is all quite quick... I feel like Jane's relationship and marriage to Michael kind of slowed everything down a bit... and the stories were really cute and nice... but then... that storyline ended and now it's kind of back to being very quick and dramatic and they just did everything in a nice way. I really like it!

3) The Great Comet of 1812- After seeing Hamilton in January and re-watching Crazy Ex Girlfriend I realized I just really liked musicals... and this one is what I've been listening to a lot lately! I'm listening to the original off broadway musical cast because the Original Broadway cast recording is not released yet... I'm sure it will be... so Josh Groban isn't in what I'm listening too... but Philippa Soo is and that's awesome! If you look up the Comet of 1812... the venue is actually really cool. It was shown in a small dinner theater and the actors were running around the aisles and it made it almost interactive... I think the broadway version does that as well... but that must have been super cool to see!

4) A Dog's Purpose- I saw this movie and it was really really cute. I cried more than I cried in any movie ever... it was really good. I have a review on it somewhere on this blog... so I won't get too into it... but it's a good movie!

5) BLT LunchBreak Podcast- This is just a super funny podcast. I watch The Tim Tracker on youtube, he's in this podcast and it's just a really fun one! I like it a lot! It's just 3 friends catching up, talking about theme parks and dunkin donuts and other things... it's pretty cool!

6) Joanne by Lady Gaga- I love this cd! I'm seeing Lady Gaga pretty soon, so I've been listening to it in anticipation and excitement... but it is just a really really good one! I love it!

7) Dr. Teal's Relax and Refresh Eucalyptus Spearmint Soothing Bath Soak w/ Pure Epsom Salt- This smells really nice and it's just a very relaxing scent. I've really been loving it this month... I think I'm actually almost out... so that is a little bit upsetting... but it is a really really good bubble bath. Epsom Salts are supposed to be good if you have sores... I don't love bath salts... I prefer bubble bath... so this just works really well for me.

8) Daytime TV- I kind of like daytime tv... I like game shows a lot. The Price is Right and Let's Make A Deal are great... Millionaire is pretty good... I LOVE The Chew... Carla Hall is queen... and I've just sort of been watching it a little more. I've been at my sister's house a lot and usually The Chew, Millionaire and Right This Minute are on... so that's what we watch (along with the baby) and it's pretty good. It's something I think is worthy of a favorite this month.

9) Life in Pieces- This is always kind of a favorite on these It lists because I have it on a lot and it doesn't really get old. I don't get tired of it at least... it's a really funny show... I would recommend checking it out!

10) The Santa Clarita Diet- I forgot about this because I watched it all in one day... but it is a really great show and deserves to be mentioned on this It List! I really like it, highly recommend watching it... it isn't really that gory and it's just easy to watch all in one day. It's a little creepy... but it is a good one!

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason. And then a few chapters in we find out who really did it and then we find out why and that thi...
