Superbowl Smackdown! Superbowl 51

Hamilton wrote the other 51!!! Jk... that's just what I think of when I hear the word 51 now.

This didn't seem like it would be the most exciting Super Bowl ever. It was the Falcons second Super Bowl ever and they've never won... so it seemed that this would be kind of a cased closed, easy win for the Patriots... who have won Superbowls several times before.

As it turns out... the Falcons kind of kicked ass in the game up until around the 3rd quarter. It seemed impossible for the Patriots to win after that... but The Patriots were able to tie in the 4th Quarter and then won when the game went into overtime in the First time in Superbowl History!!!!!

But now to the fun part... What'd I eat? Lol. I don't know if I've done this in the past Superbowl Smackdown's in previous years... but I thought I'd do it this year. We always have the same things for the most part. Chli in sort of a "do it yourself" type of way. We have all sorts of taco bowls and toppings and things for the chili. And we have a sandwich platter from a really good deli near us... we had chips and dip, cheetos... Doritos I think... and Chicken Wings. Hot wings and a Honey Barbecue Chicken. Super good... until my dog stole one of the Honey Barbecue Wings and I put the dog germs one down with the other ones... which was dumb lol. We had finished eating the wings by then... but still. And for dessert we had a trifle that my mom's friend made and ice cream cake and crumb cake... I just had the Trifle... but it was all really great! I was so full from all the other food!

I didn't pay much attention to the commercials because of the party... but I did see a few before and after the game itself. The Melissa McCarthy Commercial was really great. There was one commercial that was about a girl driving a car that I think I'm going to have to do a whole post on because it sounded empowering... so expect that on Scribbles About Feminism soon. The Budwiser commercial about immigration was really good and powerful. I liked the ones with the celebrity yearbook photos... although that didn't really sound like Steve Carell. There was one with a dog for Budwiser that was really really stupid. I thought most of them were pretty good, none super funny and memorable... but I liked them a lot! They were all good!

And after the show... the new 24 series 24: Legacy. I didn't watch it, I saw a little bit of it tonight though and it sounded great! I'm going to watch it for sure!

Alright... just finished Jane The Virgin tonight... omg... reaction tomorrow! Was not expecting that!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
