Chart Chat 9/28/15

This is always a fun one. Lets Check out the charts!

Music - iTunes top 5

5) Locked Away by  R City ft. Adam Levine- This is a pretty song... Adam Levine kind of creeps me out though so... yeah. I don't listen to it much. I don't think I like the rapper in the song that much either... if this is a rap song... he's just not really my favorite... but not a terrible song.

4) Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift- I like this song... probably not my favorite from her 1989 singles... I think I like it better than Bad Blood and Shake it off... but not much else. Its not a terrible song it just isn't my thing. I have a feeling thats how this chart is going to be.

3) What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber- This song is actually bad. A few weeks ago he was singing it on The Today Show and he got angry and you could hear him throwing a tantrum... that was a funny video. Plus live they have to play the song in the background while he's singing... I hate when they do that. Its pretty bad. But yeah. Bieber...with another terrible song. Lol. I respect his comeback and everything... but I'm still pretty anti-bieber.

2) The Hills by The Weekend- Again another band that I just don't like... don't really understand. The lyrics are pretty terrible. "I just F-ed two bitches before I saw you." Bad opening line to tell a girl... I don't like their other hit song of the summer... I'm just not a huge fan. And this is worse than most of their other stuff on the radio.

1) Hotline Bling by Drake- Okay I thought this would be the worst song of all... I really don't like Drake much (shocking) but I thought it was actually a good song. Probably my second favorite after Wildest Dream on this chart... but I get this one. Its good. And all Drake songs kind of sound the same... but this one is a lot better than most. I liked it.

Now onto movies!

5) Black Mass- This is with Johnny Depp and its been getting pretty good reviews. I want to see this one! I thought it looked good, I'm surprised its so low on the charts after only being out a couple of weeks. I thought this was the movie everyone was excited about. The theaters were like empty when I saw The Scorch Trials and I figured everyone was at this movie... but guess not! It looks good though, I want to see it!

4) Everest- Never even heard of this movie... Its just a disaster movie about Mount Everest in a severe snow storm... I'm surprised this is #4 actually. Maybe kids are buying tickets to this and sneaking into another movie? I don't know. I probably won't see this one just because I didn't know it existed till seconds ago and I'm not into everest-y types of movies or disaster things or 127 hours types of deals... but yeah.

3) Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials- I hated this movie. Lol. Loved the book, loved the first movie because it followed the book so well... this had nothing to do with the book and was just a straight up zombie movie for kids with zero plot. I have a review on it... I was pretty disgusted by the violence and the gun violence specifically with children with guns. I just didn't like that. So yeah. Don't see this movie.

2) The Intern- I keep making fun of this movie... It just looks so generic and its been done so many times before. Like "There's an intern thats an old man and a boss thats young and successful and wants to have it all." I like Anne Hathaway, I like Robert DeNiro... I don't think the two of them have any business being in a movie together. I almost want to see it because nothing else is out and it does look cute... but I hate movies with older people about them being old and hitting on young girls that are like "ohhh you're old thats hot" type of things... Its a stupid concept that probably works in this movie... its probably okay... but yeah. I'm going to continue to make fun of this movie.

1) Hotel Transylvania 2- This is the highest grossing animated movie with a September Release Date! Good for them! I need to see the first one again... I didn't like it that much... but its cute and I think I just wasn't in the mood to see a movie when I watched it and that just ruined it. I'm a fan of animation and animated movies... this isn't animated as well as like a Pixar movie or anything... but they do a really cute job and if you're a fan of classic horror... I think this is a good movie for you. Really cute, really fun. Not my favorite animated movie, but that doesn't make it less fun!

So those are my thoughts on this weeks charts! Let me know what you think about everything. Was I too harsh on the music? I just don't like much on the radio right now. I like the Fall Out Boy song and Cecilia and The Satelitte... thats about it... so I'm not the best judge. If you're a fan I'm sorry. It would be like drinking coffee if you only like tea. Just not my thing.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
