Chart Chat! 12/14/ 15

Alrighty this week is an exciting Chart Chat... is it really? Probably not... but we'll see anyway! Since the top songs are more or less the same as they were last week... I'm going to look at the top Alternative charts. These are mostly songs I know or artists I know... so yeah. Its different... but we'll see!

Alternative Music (itunes)

5) Ugh by The 1975- I feel like I know this band. They were on How I Met Your Mother and did the community theme song right? No that was The 88... okay. Lol. Not bad, not my favorite song in the world. Not something I would buy probably... but if I heard it on the radio or something it wouldn't be the worst.

4) Renegades by X Ambassadors- I hate this song... lol. It isn't really a terrible song or anything, but it is just overplayed. When I hear a song on a commercial and its on the Radio... it just ends up being overplayed and i hate it. And this isn't anything special its just like "Yeah. I can fit my family into this van and this song made me realize it." So... nothing too amazing here.

3) Adventure of a Lifetime by Coldplay- I really liked Coldplay a few years ago... but now they just seem like Supermarket Music. Lol. I think I heard this on the radio and thought "ugh this is their worst song yet." Lol. So... yeah. I'm going to consciously un-fan Coldplay. Lol.

2) Ex's & O's by Elle King- I like this song... but this was also on a commercial and is now overplayed on the radio... so I'm not a big fan of it anymore. I usually turn it off if I hear it now... but Elle King is really talented and this is a fun song to dance to. Also she is Rob Schnieder's daughter... so thats a thing. Weird right? But cool. She's cool, I think she's going places... but I'm over this song. Which is sad cause I really liked it!

1) Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots- Okay this one is different! I just listened to the Preview and I liked it! It reminded me a little of Jack's Mannequin and Fun... but different? A little hip-hoppier. A little better... at least than Fun I love Jack's Mannequin so that'll be hard to be better than. I like it!

Movies

5) Krampus- I really want to see this! I probably won't till its on DVD because I don't know anyone that likes Horror Movies very much... but I always thought the story of Krampus was kind of funny and different and this is sort of a horror comedy. It stars mostly funny people, or people that can do a little bit of both. It looked good to me! I'll check it out someday!

4) Creed- I want to see this... I already know the ending sort of... Someone I know saw it and spoiled it... but this looks good. I love Michael B Jordan, I love Sylvester Stallone and I actually do a pretty good impression of him... I really hope he wins an Oscar or at least gets nominated for this because I can do an okay impression and that would be funny. So... yeah.

3) The Good Dinosaur- This I have to see. Its a Pixar movie! Apparently it is the saddest Pixar movie yet too! Lol. It looks a little bit more like its for kids than Inside Out did... so there's that... but I will need to see it at some point in time... maybe I'll have a review on this in the not so distant future.

2) In The Heart of The Sea- This has been a major flop! I think it'll break even worldwide... but its not doing well right now. I don't really see who would want to see this movie, TBH. My mom said English Teachers... I don't think most English Teachers would like that they turned Moby Dick into an Action movie and I don't think it'd be something to get your class to see and enjoy. I love the Hemsworth Brothers and Chris Hemsworth is the hotter one. So... yeah. Lol. I don't want to see this... but Chris Hemsworth is hot.

1) The Hunger Games Mockingjay Pt. 2- Of corse the #1 movie is still the last Hunger Games movie. Its probably enjoying its last week as #1... Star Wars will soon beat EVERYTHING out of the water... but yeah. I like The Hunger Games. Jennifer Lawrence is a good actress, I like her as Katniss. I just saw the first Mockingjay movie... probably won't see the 2nd till its out on Netflix or on DVD but I'm sure its good because I just really like these movies.

Sooo yeah. Again mostly movies I want to see are #1! Not so much Heart of The Sea... but still... all pretty good!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
