Blogmas Day 2: My feelings on Stuffing: The one thing in life I'm not High Maintenance About

So I'm going to say something that will be heartbreaking to most chefs... and I'm sorry about that... but the truth is, there is one brand of stuffing that has my heart... and that is Stovetop!

Stovetop stuffing is my favorite. Its one of my favorite things about the holidays, I love it with gravy. This is not sponsored, I've just realized that I could try 1 million amazing stuffings and I would choose stovetop over everything! It just tastes the best to me.

Something else AI've noticed... I don't think I like Stovetop that much if my mom doesn't make it. You know how sometimes different people can make something simple the same way but it will taste better when they make it? That's how I feel about my moms Stovetop Stuffing. Its light and fluffy but still has that amazing stuffing flavor. And then put some gravy on it and it is completely amazing! On a Thanksgiving Sandwich? YUM! Its just really good.

And its a little weird because if you ask me what my favorite Thanksgiving food is I'll probably say stuffing... but if you try to tell me "ohh I make the best stuffing you have to try it" chances are, I won't because I won't like it nearly as much as Stovetop.

I should say that I have had other stuffings in my life. My parents used to get pork chops with apple stuffing and I liked that a lot. I've had it on Thanksgiving sandwiches, and I've probably had it from Boston Market or something... so it isn't really the only type of stuffing I like... but I know that I'll always want to try different interesting stuffings and I know I'm not going to like them at all. I always want to try cornbread or chestnut stuffings because I love cornbread and I like Chestnut flavors of most things... but nope. Stovetop.

This is not sponsored by Stovetop. If Stovetop sees this and wants to send me some stuffing... send it to a food bank or something instead. I know they really need it.

So yeah! Hope you enjoy my little thing on Stuffing. I eat it every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I also should point out that last year when my mom was making it the day before Thanksgiving, she also made chicken stir fry for our dinner and it smelled AMAZING together and I totally want to try that this year. Lol. (writing this before thanksgiving.)

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
