THIS WEEK IN TV (Week of 10/19)

Sunday

Once Upon a Time- I liked this weeks episode... but there were so many sad moments. Like Hook still being a bad guy a little bit... but he loves Emma so much that he might change. And there was Rumple being a really bad guy too. And Mickey Mouse was in it which was cool. I was happy to see a little more of Anna, but I don't like Anna as much as Elsa.

Brooklyn 99- Really good episode. It was a callback to last year's Halloween episode where Jake tries to steal Holt's medal, only this time he tries to steal his watch. They really did a good job of taking something they already did and making it really good and different a second time. It was similar to Arrested Development's "Pier Pressure" and "Making a Stand." So good. Just good TV all around.

The Affair- Didn't actually catch this weeks ep. I'm sure it was good, I'll have to catch up tomorrow.

Monday

Gotham- Really clever episode. I liked that there was even almost a friendship between Gordon and Harvey. It also really felt like a Batman movie or Comic Book. I'm guessing a lot of these storylines are lifted from the Comic Books because this had a real comic book feel to it. I really like this show and this was quite good.

Jane The Virgin- I'm really impressed by this show. I didn't think I would like it and I'm a little obsessed. It totally won me over. There wasn't quite as much stuff going on in this episode as there was in the first episode, but I'm happy we get to know Jane's father as more than the Soap Opera actor and I just thought it was really good all around. And that ending was a shocker :o! Highly recommend checking this show out!

The Big Bang Theory- it was pretty good this week. I like Sheldon and Raj together. The Penny and Leonard story was funny. It was funny.

Tuesday

Forever-I still haven't watched last week's episode in full... its a good show but it isn't my absolute favorite. I need a catch up session with this show!

Marry Me-  Really funny second ep. The pilot was funny but I didn't totally love it... Now I love it. Casey Wilson is really funny and has great chemistry with Ken Marino. I'm kind of obsessed with Gil, who stayed in an all you can eat buffet for 29 hours... I always said if life went horribly wrong I would just go to a place with endless fries and stay there... Plus the end was just so so funny. Good show!

Wednesday

The Middle- This isn't my favorite show... but its on and there isn't much else on on Wednesdays... so I watched it. And it was funny enough. Not the absolute best in the world... but it was entertaining. There were a few laughs.

Modern Family- This was pretty good this week. I thought the Manny thing was funny. I liked that the Dunphey's were accidentally hitting on their new neighbors. The Lilly's teacher thing was super super funny. And that her friend was really dumb. Fun episode.

AHS Freakshow- Really REALLY liked this episode. I'm starting to like Freakshow. I like the performances. I thought the guy with the demon face on his head was pretty cool... I'm already excited for next week. I really did not like the first episode, but this season is growing on me.

The League- Really liked this episode. Corbin Bernson (idk if that is how you spell his name) was really funny as Jenny's father. I think it was really funny that he kept making fun of Kevin... similar to how Jenny did. Also I love that Jenny's maiden name is Banger... just so funny overall! Also Rafi was funny.

Thursday

How To Get Away With Murder- I watched this, and I love Laurel so I'm happy this episode focused mainly on her... but I don't remember much else about the episode. I'll need to rewatch this... ugh!

So this week's winners... I'm going to have to say Freakshow for drama because I liked the legend that the whole story was telling and I just thought it was really exciting and really really good. And for comedy... it is close between The League and Marry Me... Not going to lie... but if I had to pick one, The League wins. Good week for TV! Love Brooklyn 99 too!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
