Weird Dreams I've Had: Venym Vodka

Hey guys! Happy New Year! This is a weird first post of the new year tbh... but I want to kind of write these every day as a thought pops into my head... it is as always a goal of mine to blog every day this year on both blogs... I realize that has not happened but I figure this way I'll at least be pretty consistent and maybe the blogs will be better? Not sure- but I'm writing this on December 10th cause I just wrote the "Things I thought as a kid- Christmas Edition" and I saw a pop up ad for Vodka on facebook... so yeah. That reminded me of this story.

Anyway it pretty much is exactly how it sounds... when I was in High School I had a dream that I either started or Cobra Starship started a brand of vodka called Venym Vodka which was a fancy bottle of vodka that contained a live cobra in the box. Yes that's right... A LIVE COBRA!

Why did I have this dream? I didn't drink in high school... but I did in fact love the band Cobra Starship... and the lead singer of Cobra Starship liked to drink or at least that was kind of his on-stage persona. He definitely liked to party- but I do think it was sort of a persona that he was this crazy person that talked to snakes and drank vodka and redbull like it was water. Seriously- if you looked up the About The Band on the website it would give you a story about how Gabe Saporta (the lead singer) wandered the desert and a Cobra told him to start this band.

This is also a weirdly vivid dream that I had and when I went to school the next day I remembered to tell it to everyone... and they thought it was funny and it became a sort of inside joke amongst us... and for some reason 10ish years later I just remembered this dream and thought "Ohhh yeah. That would make a fun blog."

The Venym thing is kind of specific too. I think it was called Venym with a Y.. but I also think that there was an energy drink that used the Y and maybe that's what I'm confused about... I'm not really sure... but I think there was a Y.

Also- this was before the Parks and Rec episode about Snake Juice... I think... I think it was before Parks and Rec was even a show... but it reminds me a lot of that episode. Maybe I'm getting my memories confused and I'm thinking the bottle was more like the Snake Juice than I thought... but I think it was kind of like Snake Juice.

So here I go- possibly predicting the future twice. Once with Snake Juice and once with Venym- which was an energy drink I think. So... score!

I hope you found this entertaining!

Bye!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
