Bachelor Nation Buzz: Colton Underwood's season premiere recap/ review!

Heyyy guys! I recently became kind of obsessed with The Bachelor... I watched a few episodes here and there before- but I did actually watch ALL of Becca's season of The Bachelorette last year and ALL of Bachelor in Paradise... and I am excited to watch Colton fall in love... or whatever.

The Bachelor

Colton is a virgin! And he doesn't wear underwear! So yeah... those are 2 important things. And the ladies were pretty into that. A lot of them commented on it... we had some interesting intros to the ladies... but I'll get to that in a bit.

But yeah- Colton is a really handsome 26 year old Virgin who is a football player. I thought he was really cute and sweet on Becca's season... I thought she was going to pick him for sure but then the stuff with Tia and when she met his family it kind of changed everything... and she realized she couldn't really have a serious relationship with him and she didn't want to break his heart- so she dumped him before he could go to the Fantasy Suite... so yeah.

I thought he was a bit of a jerk and a cry baby at the end of the season and in Paradise... and watching this... he does seem a little immature... but he's still cute. His instagram is good and he gets along with everyone- so I think he'll be a good Bachelor.

The Ladies...

So the only real exciting part of the show was getting to meet all the ladies! I'm going to be honest- 3 hours is wayyy too long for this. I could do without the after party and all the stuff about Colton... but I did really like meeting the 30 ladies. Or should I say 29 ladies and one sloth. Or 29 ladies, one sloth and Katherine's dog... which we'll get to.

So a bunch of skinny blonde girls from Alabama introduce themselves talking about how hot Colton is and how Alabama is Alabama. I mean they aren't all blonde or from Alabama... but A LOT of them were. And one of them got the First Impression Rose.

Some standouts: One girl dressed up as a sloth because Colton "likes to take things slow"... but she didn't get a rose.

One girl came in a carriage and a beautiful light blue dress looking just like cinderella... and she left a glass slipper for Colton... and he didn't get her a rose...

One girl was a fashion designer or fashion blogger or stylist or something and she showed up in a police car because she's the fashion police and she brought some plain white shoes for him to color... and then Catherine interrupted her.

To be fair: She interrupted Catherine first. Also I think she might be Katherine with a K... I don't really remember anyone's name though. So I'm going to go with C... I'll change it next week when I learn everyone's name. But anyway she interrupted 3 girls to talk to Colton... one girl confronted her about it... and then she interrupted ANOTHER GIRL! I think 2 of the girls got voted off?

I think he kissed 3 girls... and it was pretty cute. He made some good moves and he was kinda smooth.

There was also a girl with a really pretty yellow crop top dress that was super cute and there was a makeup artist that I thought was really gorgeous.

There was another virgin of corse... she's still in the mix. I think she's only 22 so a little bit of a different story than Colton... but yeah. Everyone seemed pretty cool... except Catherine... and the one girl in the yellow dress- but I still think she's pretty and maybe she's smarter than my first impression of her... it's early to say.

And there was another girl from Miami that spoke Spanish to him that I really liked... but it looks like they're going to have some drama with her in the coming weeks.

And there was a girl that spoke Sign language also... which was cool.

So yeah. Overall... we had some fun moments and I think it'll be an interesting year.

The Chris Harrison tribute was kind of cool. I haven't seen every season so I liked seeing some of the crazier moments from seasons I didn't see.

Hope you guys like this! I will do more... and yeah!

Bye!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
