Collecting Things: Ralph Breaks The Internet Funko Pops

So I thought this might be a fun thing for me to write... I feel like any collector can kind of relate to this too... the need to get all the things, or the things you could get to complete the collection and just basically the fun of collecting things in general.

Before I even saw Ralph Breaks The Internet- I knew that I loved the scene/ idea of the Cozy Princesses that have a sleepover with Vanellope and... I just thought this was a cute little disney crossover and kind of a perfect way for Disney to kind of poke fun at themselves.

And after seeing the movie I got a little more obsessed with it... and now I'm collecting all of them... and my desk looks like this now...

So it all started off with Rapunzel and Jasmine. I was in Boxlunch with my boyfriend and I knew I wanted to collect them all... but I wanted to start out with my favorites... and quite frankly the ones that Boxlunch had the fewest of because I figured these wouldn't be super hard to find... but still.

Rapunzel is my favorite princess and I love her cozy Snuggly Duckling T Shirt and the way she holds her hair.

I also really like Jasmine because Aladdin is my favorite movie and the Jeanie lamp she's holding just looks super super cool.

Now when I got these- I didn't realize there was a stand in the box for them... and I threw it away along with the box... so that wasn't great because these don't stand up too well without them... but they do still kind of stand up... and it still works. This is one of the cons of not being an "In The Box" collector. Or even a "Keep The Box" collector.

Also speaking of keeping the boxes- I don't like the designs of these boxes as much as the Funko Pop boxes... so I wouldn't want to do that anyway.

Alright next up I ordered some DVDs at Target on Black Friday- So I got Anna and Elsa. These are Target Exclusives- so I didn't know whether or not to get them... because with the Exclusives I'm okay without having them... but I liked the design of these and I do really like Frozen... so I thought this was cute. Plus Anna's shirt is also an arrested development joke... so I needed it. It's the line about finishing each other's sandwiches.

After that I thought "alright-I'm happy with my collection so far... but I do kind of want to make sure I have my other favorite princess" Who is of corse Moana. I ordered her off of the shop disney website... and I also got a Christmas Gift for my friend from Shop Disney... so it was kind of like an excuse to also order Moana.

The next one I ordered I actually don't have at the time I'm writing this... but she is coming in the mail... and that is Aurora. I really love the Aurora figure and she is a Funko Shop exclusive figure so I ordered her off of the site itself. I also ordered a Sirius Black figure too... so I'm excited for those! Hopefully they will be in the mail soon.

Now onto some of the Funkos I got... because at the point I kept collecting the figures I also saw the movie and loved it... so I decided to stop in the Game Stop right next to my Starbucks and pick up Ralph and Vanellope! They just look super cute as Pop figures! I love them!

Then I went to a mall with an FYE... which is always fun. There are no FYE's around me- so it made me excited to see one at the mall by my boyfriend... and I got a few funkos at that FYE cause they had buy 2 get one free... and i saw 3 Funkos that I liked... one of them being Yes! I liked Yes... this figure looks incredibly fabulous and fun... so she's at the top of my desk near my Chanel Perfume just being fabulous. There's a chase of her with glittery hair... which I actually think they have at my Gamestop... but I didn't see it when I was there... but from what the Gamestop employee told me I think they got one in.

I also found an Ariel in the Gamestop at that same mall... so that was a good find. I like the way she's singing and her hair looks super red. I have her next to Moana on my desk because I feel like they have a lot in common... with the Water calling to Moana and Ariel being from the water... but trading her voice for some legs.

After that I had a fun shopping trip with my friend and at Boxlunch I found a Mulan figure! Mulan and Ariel are both great characters and I really love both of those movies... but with their funko pops I wasn't really going to go out of my way to order them... so I was kind of just trying to find them in person...so I was happy to find Mulan. I do think her jacket is cool... I think they sell it at the Disney Store... so maybe I'll get that lol. It's totally something I'd wear!

The next day I was in the City with my boyfriend, and I didn't find any of the Rock Candy Princesses in my travels... but I did see some more of the Funko Pops at that Disney Store... and I couldn't resist. I ended up getting Knowsmore... who I really wanted for my desk since where else would you put someone that knows everything. I also got the Fun Bun.. who I wasn't originally going to pick up... but I'm really happy that I did because this is by far the cutest pop I have and I feel like it's the cutest pop ever made. This is a Bunny eating pancakes- as seen in the Post Credits part of the movie. Every time I see him on my desk he makes me laugh... this might just be my favorite funko.

And last but not least... I ordered Belle from Barnes and Noble because I love Belle and I thought this was a cool design for a pop. I like her face and how amused she is at the book she's reading. So cute!

As for the ones I didn't get... As of right now Tiana and Snow White are only available for Pre-order... the Tiana doll I love- I am so glad they put her hair down it looks great... I really want it- but the pre order says it will deliver in May... and I don't really want to do that. Snow White is from a website that sells pops and figures... so I didn't pre order that yet... it didn't say a release date so I'm a little worried about it.

I also know there's a Pocohontus figure that was the first one released and I believe its an NYCC pop... which doesn't mean it was only exclusive to the Con but its a little more limited I guess... I've seen it on Amazon and other websites... I think I will probably order it... but if I miss out on this one I'm not that upset because I'm just kind of collecting for fun- I don't need a full set really... plus Pocohontus isn't my favorite... so I'm okay if I miss out on it. And with exclusives- I figure it doesn't totally count for the collection aspect... so I might just skip this figure... but I do like her shirt and her stance.

They also don't show any designs for a Merida or a Cinderella... and I find it hard to believe they wouldn't release them... so I'm kind of on the lookout for those... but again if I miss it I won't be upset. I'm happy with what I have.

I'm also going to pass on the Felix and Taffyta pops... they weren't in the movie a whole lot- so I don't really want to collect them. They're cute- I really like the Felix one- but I don't really want to own it just for the sake of completing my collection. I have all the pops I like... Except Shank! I really want Shank- but I'm not sure if she's been released yet. I'd also love it if they made a Pop Ride with either Shank's Car or Vanellope's car... so yeah. That'd be great!

I hope you guys like this blog! I thought it would be a fun way to talk about the fun of collecting and to kind of show some of my pops!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
