What Did I Do In January?

So- I thought a monthly wrap up type of post might be fun... I didn't do everything I thought I'd do this month... I don't think I accomplished everything I wanted to... but still! I think I did a lot of fun stuff... and it's going to be good.

So first off- I wanted to post daily in January... didn't do that. I missed the 12th, 14th, 15th, 21st,22nd,25th, and 26th... so I feel like I owe you guys a week of double posts... but I did have some excuses. 1) I have been super tired after work. I was opening a lot this month- which I do really like... but it makes me tired at the end of the night most of the time... and I don't really get to do anything else. Also- I get 2 days off a week... and usually when I get days off I spend them away from the computer. So... there's that too.

I don't think I actually saw any movies in theaters in January... there was nothing really that good out. The last thing I saw was Mary Poppins Returns and that was on New Year's Eve. I did see some movies on Blu Ray... one was Free Style starring Corbin Bleu... which my boyfriend bought for me for Christmas knowing it would be a terrible, terrible movie that we could enjoy together... and we didn't lol. It was a TERRIBLE movie. We also watched the movie Family Man with Nicholas Cage... which I reviewed right here- but it was cute... and better than I thought it'd be. We also just watched The Lego Ninjago movie- which was allright and Sorry To Bother You... which was incredible and I need to watch it again. Ohhhh and we watched Tangled- which was also really fun. It is my favorite Disney Movie and he really liked it too... and that's a fun movie to watch for a date night. Ohhh and Nutcracker and the Four Realms... less fun. Also a bad movie: Life of The Party with Melissa McCarthy. There was not a lot to the movie... and I just don't think I needed to see it... or own it. It wasn't quite as silly as The Boss and it wasn't as good as something like Tammy... just for references. Honestly Melissa McCarthy's  Ghostbusters was A LOT better. So... not the best.

I watched The Lego Movie on my own... and that one was really great. I love that movie... and I haven't seen it in a while and I forgot how much I loved it. I need to watch the Batman movie cause I haven't seen that full movie.

Anyway... I'm sure there's more stuff I did that I want to talk about... but tbh right now I just want to sleep... so I'm just going to stop writing there. Hope you guys understand and maybe I'll do another part of this soon. Lol.

Bye!
-Shannon

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
