Book Haul! What I want to Read/ What I'm reading.

I've done a few book hauls in the past and honestly... I haven't read those books yet! But still- that doesn't stop me from being interested in new books and ordering a few more from the Barnes and Noble website... buying some at Target and other places.

So first is a book I bought back when I went to New York City with my boyfriend... you can read more about that right here... but we went to Kinokuniya which is a really big book store with basically any Manga you could ever want to read in it... plus a lot of other really cool things... anyway I found this book called Pure Skin: Discover the Japanese Ritual of Glowing by Victoria Tsai and I knew I wanted to get the book. I want to know more about skincare and I thought this is probably the best way of finding out. Plus as a beauty blogger and a vlogger- I thought this would be useful and fun to review.

Another slightly more of a beauty/lifestyle book that I got for myself was Queer Eye: Love Yourself. Love Your Life.  So this book was one I definitely wanted because I love the show Queer Eye, and even just looking at pictures of the very handsome Fab 5 is worth the price of the book. Lol just kidding, I love all their personalities and I know I can find great advice on so many different things from this book. I might do a little bit of a review on that on my beauty blog too.

Another sort of coffee table book that I wanted and found at Target was Inside Black Mirror  by Charlie Brooker, Annabel Jones with Jason Arnopp. So I've blogged a lot about Black Mirror- I love it and I needed to have an inside look at it. I think the creators of this show are just so clever- I'd totally like to know all the details about every episode and you know I'm going to watch it again while reading this book... probably after the new season comes out maybe.

Also I got Dumplin by Julie Murphy at Target. I wanted to read this before the movie came out and now that the movie is out I really want to see that... so I'm going to read the movie too. It looks cute I'm excited to watch it and read it. I think I'm going to try to read Crazy Rich Asians maybe during my breaks at work... but then I'm going to move on to this I think. I don't know I just get kind of bored on my breaks and I want something more entertaining to do at lunch than just look at my phone or shop somewhere.

I also thought I placed an order from Barnes and Noble... but apparently I didn't? I'll have to go in store and buy some things maybe because that was my whole inspiration for this blog lol. So maybe this is part one of this blog? I have a Target Gift Card too... so that might go towards books... it might go towards something bigger... but still.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
